It was perfect besides the WiFi and TV not working and the neighbor arguing at 7am

Adorable property and spacious enough for what I needed! Host was amazing and quickly responded to all of my questions! It is an older house, so thin walls means you can hear outside. Probably not as noisy outside of Mardi Gras season, but it was in a great location for walking to the parades!
Stayed here for a long weekend when we came in town for the first week of Carnival. Location is within walking distance of St Charles, which was great for parades. Unit was clean and updated. Everything worked as it should. We only needed a place to sleep, so this place worked great.Pros - clean convenient location, cost, communication, ease of check-in/check-outCons - can hear neighbors, but were never loud. Box springs need replaced, they are loud eveytime you move in bed.Would reccomend for anyone just needing a place to lay ypur head while in NOLA.
Got right back to me with questions. Even with my last minute booking. Helpful suggestions of events and places.

Not what I expected
Read the reviews thought it would ideal for a weekend getaway. It was not. We didn’t feel safe in the neighborhood. The duplex was amazing and very historical. Loved the rooms. The bed was small queen (I thought it was a full) squeaked and was uncomfortable. The pull for the ceiling fan was too short so you had to stand in the bed there was one bath towel for two people. Lots of small towels with one of them had a hole did notify host who brought more. Thought we had access to the back yard patio but when we back there it had been set as a venue. Boxes of sodas and tiki poles. So I don’t know Friday night we could hardly drive to get to our street as the local bar was celebrating. Could hear that through the walls. So I wouldn’t recommend it. Boarded up houses across the street. The neighbors next door took all the parking so we had to park down tge street. Just not good. Sorry
We were vwry happy with our stay. The property is modern with a touch of thar New Orleans charm. Great location, close to the quarter and the Superdome. Sp glad we booked here!
Loved staying here! Central to everything you’d want to do in New Orleans! Neighborhood was quiet and parking right outside your front door. Home is gorgeous and true to historic bones of the house. Would definitely stay again!
Location was very good! Uptown is where you would want to be as it's a neutral location. The neighborhood was cool as it is being rebuild. The house is good for short stay it just need some adjusting:1. The toilet seat have to measure up with the toilet it literal threw me off.2. Fresh pant would be great in certain areas especially the bathroom.3. A good thorough cleaning would be great especially in the bathroom places you wouldnt think people would look (the ceilings)4. A new shower curtain liner and rod would be great.Other than that our stay was good and the host responded swiftly!
It was reasonably priced, with a good location. The property owner was very responsive. . There were a couple of things that needed fixing like a towel rack in the bathroom. The coffee maker did not work, but the owner replaced it that afternoon.
I would rent the property again.
This house is perfect for one person or a couple. If you are looking for a New Orleans style stay this is it. Tall ceilings, exposed brick and wood floors add a distinctly New Orleans character to the house. The location is central to everything you may need. Kitchen was well stocked with essential items. Highly recommend!
Just a half mile walk down Louisiana Ave to St Charles to see all the Mardi Gras parades. So no need to drive and hope to find parking. Place was simple and clean.
The house is cute inside and out. Layout works for in and out vacation travel. The neighborhood is in a state of revitalization. Mainly traditional shotgun type housing fitting with the NOLA vibe. Not all the houses on the block have been updated.
We loved this place. It was exactly what we needed. Well kept and clean. It’s about a 10-15 minute Uber ride to the French Quarter. Do yourself a favor and get food from MKM Cajun food. Carry out only and is a block away….it’s so good!

Okay for price
The property manager was very responsive to my texts messages, but could have provided more information about check-in and check-out, and how to operate the tv.
The bottle of wine and fresh flowers were a nice touch.
Im from Louisiana and I'm used of nola city however it was my first Essence experience. The property was a great location especially to get the superdome! It was just my husband and myself living earlier was perfect for us being out for the festivities. I don't have any negative things to say. I would just suggest have another mirror in the home. It'll with getting ready & to have an outfit check lol. The host Allen was great he was available when needed & understanding! We will definitely return again on a little getway or event to thos property!
Overall we had a wonderful time, we were relatively close to everything and drove everywhere. Easy on street parking in front of the unit. The property manager was friendly, and helped answer questions as they arose.
We did find it a little lacking for more than one person. Most of the amenities were only enough for one person, which was bit hard to work with for two people. The place still needed some updating: towel rack was in a corner, the toilet seat didn’t fit the toilet, and the kitchen bar stools were very uncomfortable. If you stay here, plan to not spend much time at the place as there isn’t a lot of space to hang out. Also the walls are thin, so you may hear your neighbor next door at odd hours of the evening/night.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay in New Orleans and had a wonderful honeymoon. We recommend a swamp tour, going on the Steamboat Natchez, exploring the French Quarter after a stop at Cafe Du Mont, and checking out the NOLA Art Museum!
