Primary issues for us included a kitchen/stove that didn’t work very well for baking and cooking (which we needed to do for a birthday), and a cold living room that never warmed up despite the thermostat turned all the way up. The unit really needs new kitchen appliances, as mentioned the stove and oven are so old the racks don’t fit and the temperature didn’t seem consistent, and the pots and pans aren’t adequate for good meal preparation. For what we payed using VRBO we would have been better off renting a nice unit at a hotel.

Hi Caleb, the right vacation home is everything, and we're disappointed if this wasn't the one for you. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following: 1) We checked the stove after we read your review and can confirm that it is working well. Tahoe Basin is at high elevation so you must make the appropriate adjustments when cooking and baking. 2) Our thermostats are working correctly as well, there is one in each room for guests' comfort. We've had tenants since your stay who had no complaints. Thanks for your valuable feedback!

Kitchen is not so clean and wifi is very slow
I was trying to cook breakfast but only to find some spatula that has some disgusting remnants of egg on it... It must have been on there since last guest cooked...
Wifi in the house is barely functional. It's not even fast enough to load videos.
There is a smart TV in the house, but it will take forever for any channel or Netflix to come up. It's barely functional as well.

Yuzhe, thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience. We appreciate your feedback and have shared your comments with the homeowner so any necessary adjustments may be made for the next guests. The homeowner also has very high standards for their property, and they are sorry that cleanliness issues impacted your stay. They have addressed the issue with their cleaning company to ensure that future guests do not share your experience. Regarding the Wifi, the owner would like to note that hard-line Wifi will be coming to the area soon and that will solve the connection speed. The homeowner does all they can to make it the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests. Best, the Evolve Team

Not what I expected
I gotta say first it was awesome being in Tahoe. We arrived early and it was sooo hard to get in contact with our account contact, took over an hour for him to get back to me. House was cute, but trying to figure out the TV? Impossible! And when we went to bed? Bring your own mattress or inflatable bed because the beds (all three) are horrible! Hard as stone, and when all you want after being in the snow all day is to come home and have a good night's rest, well let me tell you, it isn't happening here! Glad to be home and able to sleep in my own comfortable bed.
We had a great trip here, would definitely recommend for a group trying to ski in north Tahoe. We were a little surprised to find some essential items missing. There was no dishwasher soap when we arrived, and toilet paper was in short supply so we had to purchase more for the house. We also had some ants crawling around the kitchen. It has the potential to be an amazing place but it feels like it needs some more regular attention.

Hi Ryan, Thanks for sharing your feedback with us - we're glad that overall you had a great stay! Toiletries & paper goods aren't advertised as provided amenities, but the homeowner does provide a "starter supply" of basic items for guests' convenience. They also let us know that they've had pest control take care of the ant issue. Thanks again for your feedback, and we hope that you keep us in mind for your future travels!
Overall experience was great, cabin was perfect for a quick getaway. If I could give some constructive criticism, I would say replacement of beds might be reaching its time. Will definitely be looking to return in the future
The pictures make the location look nicer than it actually was. Chairs had nails holding parts together, duvets had stains on them. Rugs in the bathroom. Very dusty and stains on plates and bowls. Smelled very musty when we checked in.
Came with a beach pass that only had $1 on it so we were unable to access local beaches. We were willing to add to the balance but the manager said they didn’t know how to add money to the card.
It is in a great location but overall would not stay there again.

Hi Christine, we want our guests to arrive at a vacation home that is 100% ready for their stay, so we take the cleanliness of our properties seriously. We followed up with the homeowner, who asked us to share this feedback:
- The private beaches are currently only available for use by owners, due to COVID-19. We apologize for this inconvenience; we did make sure to update the listing to reflect this new restriction. There are two public beaches nearby that we recommend to guests.
- We apologize for the cleanliness issues. We shared your feedback with our cleaning team to make sure future guests don't encounter the same problems.
- A previous guest had broken that chair, but we have replaced it.
Thanks for your feedback, and we hope you had a great time in Tahoe!
The best thing about the place for us is the pass you get to use to two nearby private beaches! This meant we could go hiking in the mornings, come back to the house, eat lunch and then go to the beach in the afternoon knowing we'd probably get a parking spot. Plus social distancing is easier on a private more secluded beach. We loved it and stayed for hours each day of our stay. There's a daily use fee per person but worth it if you don't want to queue up in your car at 7 a.m. at Sand Harbor. Tahoe is packed this summer and this nicely located townhouse in Incline Village offers a more tranquil experience while being convenient to a supermarket and other stores and dining options. The townhouse was well-stocked for cooking and pleasant for evening relaxing time. We would stay here again for the location and access to the private beaches.
Love this place. The only thing hat would’ve made it perfect is a fan. Especially for upstairs rooms. (the place got very hot) It was also missing a coffee maker. The host did offer us a gift card though to make up for it. They also offered us reimbursement for a fan but we were so busy we never made it to the store. Would definitely stay here again in spite of those 2 issues as I’m sure they’ll be corrected.

Disappointed
This location is amazing however the condo has issues:
The refrigerator does not keep cool enough we lost all dairy some fruits and veggies. We ended up putting the meats in the freezer as that did work - but had a very offensive odor.
I dropped food on the floor it rolled under the loveseat. We moved the loveseat to retrieve it and found a dead BAT!
We had a rain storm and the dining area window leaked - we placed glasses on the window seal to catch the rain.
Upstairs balcony door, family room windows did not lock?!?!
We found candy on the floor under the dining table that did not belong to us.
We had a 5 day reservation - there was partial TP roll and no additional in master. 1- partial paper towel no additional, 2- garbage bags - no additional and there were ants in master and kitchen area.
Silverware had 3- small spoons (tsp) that’s it. Can opener didn’t work, no measuring cups at all - not very well stocked. We had additional unnecessary purchases.
The thermostats said off the whole time but we were not able to turn the heat off in the family room area Really hot.
Beds are super uncomfortable we all brought sleeping bags and that didn’t help as we all slept on top of them due to heat and mattress issues.
Both baths had large bottles of shampoos and conditioners that were partial. Don’t know if precious renter left behind.

Hi Priscilla, Thanks for your feedback. We've shared it with the homeowner, and they'd like to share the following:
- They ordered a new fridge that will be delivered in mid-June
- They've worked to make sure that bats can't get into their unit, and they're sorry that one found its way into the condo during your stay
- They appreciate you letting them know about the window and are looking into the problem
- They'll also share your comments with their cleaner so that they can make sure that everything is addressed
Thanks again for letting us know about your stay. Your feedback will help us improve for upcoming guests, and we hope to travel with you again soon!
