Fantastic

From the moment we booked to leaving communication from the host Ann Marie was superb, very efficient and accommodating. The gite is perfect, extremely clean, spacous, well equipped kitchen with good comfortable beds and an excellent shower. Great location for the D-Day landings and further afield. We had a great holiday in a very quiet and serene location. Thank you.

Fantastic Location

My wife, daughter, dog and I thoroughly enjoyed an excellent week at Gilles & Anne Marie's house. The location next to Utah Beach is amazing and perfect if you have a dog or are a beach lover. The house is also a perfect base for exploring Normandy's numerous WW2 sites. The house was clean and well equipped, whilst the owners were very friendly and quick to respond to messages. Our only criticism is the wifi in the house is very slow (around 1.9 mbps), which is not enough for making video calls & streaming. Our mobile signals were poor, so we relied on the wifi for connectivity, but it struggled much beyond checking emails and browsing online. This may be an issue for anyone needing to work. We would be happy to stay here again and I recommended the house.

"Uitzicht op het strand" mag met een korreltje zout genomen worden. "Het is uitzicht op woningen" die dan op hun beurt wel uitzicht hebben op de duinen.De woning ruikt verschrikkelijk muf, wij hebben onze kleren in de koffers moeten laten. Spijtig, want de woning is goed uitgerust met alle voorzieningen die je wenst op vakantie.De badkamer is mooi vernieuwd, de kast onder de lavabo hebben we wel kunnen gebruiken om ondergoed, handdoeken enz...in te leggen.De woning is zeer rustig gelegen.De eigenaars zijn zeer vriendelijke, en correcte mensen.Ik hoop dat de opmerkingen niet als te negatief gezien worden. Ik geef dit mee, zodat er eventueel iets kan mee gedaan worden.Ons verblijf geeft daar nu ook niet onder geleden, dit zijn de charmes van een vakantie.

Zwei tolle Wochen in der Normandie

Wir haben uns in dem Ferienhaus sehr wohl gefühlt.Die Nähe zum Strand ist toll so wie auch die Landschaft und die Sehenswürdigkeiten und Museen. Wir wurden sehr freundlich aufgenommen Nur zu empfehlen

Sehr schön gelegenes Haus

Sehr positiv. So ist unser Gesamteindruck. Es ist ein ausgezeichnetes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Sehr schönes Haus mit kaum einsehbaren Grundstück direkt hinter der Düne. Der Strand ist super und fast menschenleer. Auch bei gutem Wetter. D-Day Museum 200 Meter. Die Anliegerstraße ist durch eine Schranke von jeglichem fremden Verkehr abgeschirmt, also sehr ruhig. Das gesamte Haus ist sehr sauber und alles soweit vorhanden. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und trotz unserer Sprachbriere sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. 2 winzige Kritikpunkte: Die Betten sind französisch klein. Normal für Frankreich. Die im Inserat versprochenen Fahrräder sind 4 Stück vorhanden, davon sind 3 sehr historisch, aber cool. Leider hatten sie platte Reifen und bei 2 war es nicht möglich, Luft aufzupumpen, da die Schläuche defekt sind. Alles in allem sind wir aber wirklich glücklich über dieses Haus und können es sehr gern weiterempfehlen.

Ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt in der Normandie

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Urlaub in der Normandie. Das Haus und die Lage sind top. Nur durch die Dünen dann ist man am Strand. Das Haus ist sehr ruhig gelegen. Sehr nette Vermieter. Wir kommen garantiert nochmal wieder.

Ruhiger Urlaub

Wir wurden freundlich empfangen und obwohl wir kein Französisch sprechen, wurde uns das Haus sehr gut erklärt. Die Wohnräume sind sauber und gepflegt und die Küche ist mit allem ausgestattet was man braucht. Was für uns ein wenig ungewöhnlich war sind die Betten mit einer Breite von 1,40 Metern und Oberbetten mit einem Maß von 2x2 Metern. Das sollte man, wenn man eigenes Bettzeug mitbringt, wissen. Deutsches Fernsehen (wer es braucht), gibt es nicht und das vorhandene WLAN ist nicht besonders schnell. Die nahe Lage zum Meer, zu Fuß 2 Minuten, sind nicht zu toppen. Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder.
