The Legendary San Jose House on Fremont Street is in Tombstone's Historic District. The San Jose House, was built 1879 as Tombstone's 1st boarding house and is one of Tombstone's oldest structures. We are a short distance to main street, the Tombstone Epitaph and The Crystal Palace Saloon. The San Jose House is historically documented, appeared in movies, and also TRUE WEST Magazine. Wyatt Earp, Doc Holliday, Batt Masterson, and many others stayed here including Josephine Marcus. Enjoy Mountain Views and the Sunrise with your morning coffee from our covered porch. Hang your hat & park your boots in The Town Too Tough To Die, and stay at the historic "San Jose House" in the heart of downtown Tombstone.

He came to Arizona with a love for the Old West and would stay at his mothers property The San Jose House when in town. When his mother decided to sell the property, he decided to take it over and keep the property in the family. He along with his wife Anne hope you enjoy your stay at the San Jose House as they have over the years

Why they chose this property

The San Jose House has the distinction of being the oldest Boarding House in Tombstone. It was built out of Adobe in 1879 when Tombstone was in full swing and most of the town was a mining camp. Many famous people stayed at the San Jose House, including Wyatt Earp, Doc Holliday, Josephine Marcus, and Bat Masterson.

What makes this property unique

The home is historic and is made out of adobe, it is cool in the summer and retains the heat in the winter.
