The property was really lovely.We had a couple of minor teething problems but the hosts were really responsive.We know the area and complex really well so were aware of how gorgeous the surrounding paths etc were.Our only bug bear was the shower as the temperature was very inconsistent, from freezing to boiling without warning which was abit of an issue when showering children.

Beautiful Villa

We had a fantastic holiday staying in Villa Sol Jardin. The villa was spotless with everything you need for a great holiday. The shared pool is up the top of the hill with a shop and poolside bars. John was very quick to answer any questions we had. We did find it hard to get a taxi but Parra Bar across the road will call one for you while you have a drink and wait.

Very nice

The communication with the owner trough the agenci was easy. Access to the location with the code was simple and without any stress. The house is spacious and well equipped. The nearby pool is nice and clean. Parking was without any diffilcuty. We were there as a family with 6 person. We can recommendend the house.

San Juan de Capistrano bliss

This property was perfect for us. We feel very safe in this area and can stroll down to Nerja, Burriana beach or Torecella beach all within 30-40 minutes stroll. The property comes with a pool pass and the pool and surrounding areas are stunning. We are 4 females requiring a bedroom each so we were fine. Having 2 bathrooms was also great. We realized we didn't have enough hot water so messaged the owner. He responded immediately and changed the settings. We found this so reassuring that we knew any issues are dealt with so quickly. We're already planning to go again.

Relaxing

28 days of relaxation, villa is in a quiet area & fairly private in the garden. Didn’t use the communal pool, it looked clean, preferred to go to the local beaches and used the chairs and umbrellas plus the cool boxes that were at the villa. Ideal situation for the Tuesday farmers market & Sunday flea market. 20mins walk to the Balcon but longer back as it’s all uphill, good excuse to sample the local bars en route. Owner was very quick to respond to my questions before we went.

Wonderful villa in great location

Villa Sol Jardin is a lovely villa with ample space for 6 adults and was a real home from home. It is extremely well equipped with just about anything and everything you could need for your stay. The provision of beach towels was welcomed as was the mid stay linen change. San Juan de Capistrano is a perfect base for a break in Nerja with the pool that we love and several good restaurants, bars and supermarkets nearby. What is also available in the town is of course amazing and with the hourly bus to either the beach (am only) or down towards the Balcon, everything is really on your doorstep. The owners were great at communicating and always responded really quickly to any enquiries. Would highly recommend this villa and would certainly come back again if returning to San Juan de Capistrano.

very pleasant stay

the location is up a hill, so we took the car everywhere, but there was a cafe and bread shop we could have walked to. On the last day we checked out the pool, which is higher up the hill behind the house, but it was crowded. we enjoyed having dinner on the terrace out front. the kitchen is quite small, but very well equipped with whatever you may need. one of the bathrooms is new and gorgeous, but be aware that there was neither toilet paper nor soap upon arrival. the pull out sofa bed, is just that, so not very comfortable, and would be fine for children or petite adults. there are air conditioning remote controls in each room, some of which work better than others. all in all the house worked great for the 7 of us.

Thank you for your feedback. The managing agent has been asked to ensure that provisions are available in the bathrooms. One of the AC units was underperforming and has since been replaced. We now market the villa for 7 rather than 8 people so only one person should need to use the double sofa bed.

Jag och min fru hyrde detta hus i 9 dagar under februari månad, huset ligger ca 25-30 minuters promenad från centrala Nerja. Huset har ett fantastiskt läge med trevlig utsikt i ett lugnt område. Det mesta som behövs i ett kök finns, bra sovrum och sängar. Huset har 2 bra badrum med dusch och toaletter, samt en bra tvättmaskin. Vi kan varmt rekommendera detta boende.

Sehr schönes Haus in ruhiger Lage

Das Haus ist sehr schön und sauber. Es gibt alles, was man für einen entspannten Urlaub benötigt. Ideal für Familien mit Kindern. Die Lage ist oberhalb von Nerja, ideal, wenn man abseits des Trubel ein wenig Zeit verbringen möchte. Der öffentliche Pool ist gut zu erreichen. Wie in der Umgebung von Nerja muss man selbstverständlich nach oben laufen, da die gesamte Umgebung sehr bergig ist.

Great stay in Nerja

The property was all that was promised. Beautiful villa with plenty of space for six adults and one three year old. Good location for the pool, bars and restaurants, if you don’t mind a bit of a climb that is. Loved it all apart from the departure time. I felt having to vacate by 9am is a little unreasonable. Particularly given the pool and poolside dining does not open until 10am. That’s an hour waiting in the sun with cases and a three year old when the new guests aren’t allowed to enter until 3pm. I don’t think cleaning would take six hours. That aside, it’s a great rent, thanks so much.

Mal Thank you for your review. We can be flexible with arrival and departure times when there is no same day changeover. Managing agents are particularly busy on Saturdays in peak season so they do ask for plenty of time.

Lovely villa, very clean and modern. Communal pool is brilliant, my kids (10,12. & 15) loved it and the poolside snack bar is amazing. Garden and the villa was a welcome rest from beach and pool. Had problem with air con in one room but was dealt with swiftly and easily. Would consider this villa again

Winter get away

The villa was like home from home and spotlessly clean. It was also fully equipped with everything you would need. It was nice not to have to scrub saucepans as I do 80% of the time we rent a villa. The BBQ was also clean which is very unusual!! It was lovely having the 2nd television room because at night my husband would retreat there and enjoy his sports while our daughter and I would watch what we liked on the living room television. The garden was perfect for our 19 month old grandson because it was grass, totally closed in and safe for him to play and run around. I highly recommend this villa and look forward to returning in the future.

Winter get away

Lovely clean and presented villa with more than adequate utensils for a self catering stay. Area well looked after and clean. Need to reasonably fit as situated up a hill. Car necessary if not. We really enjoyed the walks up and down though. Lovely sunny terrace great for alfresco dining.

Why they chose this property

Larger than most properties; enclosed private garden, all on one level, recently tastefully renovated and extended; quiet location. Being a family home (rather than a pure commercial holiday let) the property is well equipped, furnished and decorated. We use it regularly ourselves and make sure it is well looked after and appliances etc are kept up to date.

What makes this property unique

Air conditioning for summer, heating for winter months; close to shared pool and restaurants. A very nicely furnished and well looked after family home with modern conveniences including free wifi internet access and 55’’ smart television with English channels including Sky and TNT sports. There are 2 shower rooms recently re-fitted.
