The Space:

Lakeside Schist - Couples Retreat is a charming, spacious one-bedroom self-contained apartment nestled on the shores of Lake Wakatipu, offering a peaceful escape for couples, solo travelers and corporate guests. Rich in character, the apartment showcases original Central Otago schist stonework dating back to the horse-and-cart era, creating a warm and cozy atmosphere that reflects Queenstown's heritage.



The spacious open-plan living area features a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable lounge, dining area and cozy gas heating, making it the perfect place to relax after a day exploring Queenstown. Large windows and a sliding door open onto the beautifully maintained gardens with views towards Lake Wakatipu. Step outside to your private outdoor seating area, the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee or unwind with a glass of world-renowned Central Otago Pinot Noir as the sun sets.



The separate bedroom features a comfortable Queen bed with a peaceful garden outlook, providing a restful retreat at the end of the day.



Just 50 meters from the shores of Lake Wakatipu and the Frankton Track, you're perfectly positioned for scenic waterfront walks. The Frankton Marina, The Boatshed Café, Altitude Brewing, Vino Wine Bar and local bus stops are all within an easy five-minute walk, making it simple to explore Queenstown without needing to drive.



PLEASE NOTE:

Couple's Retreat occupies the lower level of the home and has its own private entrance and exclusive living spaces. The homeowners permanently reside upstairs.

Your private bathroom and separate toilet are exclusively for your use and are accessed via a shared internal hallway immediately outside the apartment entrance. Laundry facilities are shared with the homeowners and are located in the garage.

- Please note that stays of 7+ nights may require mid-stay clean/linen change where additional charges may apply, booked and paid for in advance.

PRIVACY ACT:

The information requested from the guest is to enable Goodstays Ltd to assess the guest’s request to rent the property. The guest does not have to supply this information, but if the guest does not, then Goodstays is unable to rent the property out. The guest acknowledges that Goodstays will collect, hold and use the guest’s personal information for purposes related to the renting of the property and the provision of related customer services, including direct marketing and assessing customer satisfaction with products and services provided by Goodstays. The guest further acknowledges that such personal information may be disclosed to debt collection agencies, insurance companies and/or law enforcement agencies in the possible event of non-payment, damage or theft to the property; and the guest hereby authorises the disclosure of their personal information for such purposes.



Guest Access:

Guests have exclusive use of the self-contained lower-level apartment, including the living areas, kitchen, bedroom and private outdoor seating area.

Your private bathroom is accessed via the shared internal hallway, and the laundry is shared with the homeowners. Off-street parking is provided for one vehicle.

Situated on the shores of Lake Wakatipu in Frankton, Couple's Retreat is ideally located just a short stroll from the Frankton Marina precinct. Enjoy local favourite including The Boatshed Café, Altitude Brewing and Vino Wine Bar, or hop on a nearby bus to explore Queenstown with ease. Queenstown Airport is approximately a 5-minute drive away, while Queenstown town centre is around 15 minutes by car. The Remarkables, Coronet Peak, world-class golf courses, wineries and many of the region's most popular attractions are all within easy reach.



Getting Around:

Walking: The Frankton Marina, The Boatshed Café, Altitude Brewing, Vino Wine Bar, waterfront walking trails and local bus stops are all within a 5-minute walk.

Bus: Regular public bus services operate from nearby stops, providing easy access to Queenstown town centre, Queenstown Airport and Arrowtown.

Driving: Queenstown Airport is approximately a 5-minute drive away, while Queenstown town centre is around 15 minutes by car. The Remarkables Ski Area is approximately 25 minutes away, and Coronet Peak is around 30 minutes, depending on road and weather conditions.
