Rose Cottage is a very snug, homely cottage on the outskirts of the village of Carsphairn . It is situated between Loch Ken and Loch Doon, both 20 minutes drive away, within the vast forest park. This is a beautiful, tranquil part of Scotland, and is ideally situated to cater for all activities within country life. There are stunning views from the cottage windows which you can enjoy whilst relaxing beside the fire.

Terrible!

Well we didn’t stay at this cottage they had double booked it so told us they had another one near by. We arrived they were still kind of cleaning then found out Lavender Cottage was already being used and they moved them out for our one night stay which was another way of doubling their money. The place looked like Grandmas house the decor was so out dated and it was embarrassing for us because we chose it not really knowing the condition and were very embarrassed in front of our friends staying with us! We couldn’t wait to get out the next morning! I took pics just to show the state of the place there was food there that belonged to the renters they moved out for the night! It was terrible wouldn’t ever recommend for my worst enemy!

Lovely rural location

Had a lovely time at this cottage. It’s a great location to get out and explore the local area. Only a 30min drive to the beach which the kids and dog loved! The cottage was clean and comfortable and the communication with Emma was excellent. All in all a great break and wound definitely book to stay again in the future.
