This resort is very beautiful with lots to do and several restaurants. The walls and ceiling are pretty thin because you can hear a lot from your neighbors
Property is beautiful and offers so many things to do. We always enjoy the pools and the lake. This trip, we used the complementary canoes, went mini golfing and played black light bingo! We appreciate all the included activities. Staff is always friendly and our stays have always been enjoyable!
Had a great weekend. Wasn’t sure what to expect. There is a full kitchen in the unit. The market by the boat docks does have snacks, eggs, milk etc which we didn’t realize until after we left. Room service available daily as well!

We have stayed at Big Cedar a few times but this was our first time at the Wilderness Club. Check in was easy and staff were all friendly. Unit was clean, except the tile floor in the kitchen and entry needs some attention. This unit was located close enough to walk to a large pool. We were disappointed that the unit did not have its own grill (something we expected because we had always had one at Big Cedar). However, it wasn’t that big of a deal. We just used the stovetop and oven instead. Big Cedar is always a lot of fun and we will return to this unit if it is available the next time!
The room itself was even nicer than we expected. The staff was more than accommodating, and there were so many things to do! We didn’t even have time to do everything we wanted, so are already planning on coming back again! It was magical down there with all the Christmas lights, skating rink, and other festivities.
Having an 8 month old and 5 year old, we loved the separate bedroom and living space. The convenience of having a kitchen was great. The Big Cedar Lodge resort is a short walking distance and it was amazingly decorated with Christmas Lights. For the price, it was one of the best valued stays we’ve had!
This place is so beautiful. Checking in after dark not recommended. Used to have lit reindeer at the drive entrance to know where to turn to the lodge in November. I love strolling the beautiful grounds. Construction going on. I think they are overbuilding here. Could destroy the appeal. Always hate to leave. Has a special place in my heart!
The unit was perfect for our family of 4. The kitchen had everything we needed and we made several meals. There was construction behind the building but it didn't bother us. The bed was very comfortable. Definitely great deal and we would stay there again.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Wilderness Club. The accommodations were very nice, and the resort amenities were terrific. The restaurants are a little pricey, but both the food and the service were outstanding. If you’re a golfer, it’s about as good as it gets. Five great venues within 10 minutes of Big Cedar. Also, be sure to take the cart ride located at the Top of the Rock. We didn’t have much time to enjoy the boating or fishing, but the lake sure looked beautiful. Thank you Big Cedar for a truly great vacation!
We stayed in a 1 bedroom first floor unit in Kings River Lodge. Although our view was somewhat impacted by construction of nearby cabins, we were still pretty impressed that we — as non-owners — had a pretty nice view. Some people might say the decor in our unit had passed its prime, but we found it to be extremely comfortable and fitting for a rustic getaway. The bed, in particular, was comfortable and allowed us to sleep quite restfully. On arrival, we discovered our dishwasher was not working. Because of bad past experiences we had at unrelated timeshare properties with maintenance issues, we put off reporting the issue until just before we left. It turns out we had no reason for our hesitancy at The Wilderness Club. Within half an hour, an employee showed up and promptly diagnosed the problem. Overall, we were impressed with our stay and have already made plans to return next year.
