About this property

3 BR 2.5 BA condo, fantastic location in Duck! 6/28-7/5/26 only. 1st floor unit

Very spacious oceanside three-bedroom, 2.5-bath condo in Barrier Island Station - Duck, a gated ocean to sound community with great pools and amenities. Available in 2026 ONLY for the week of Sunday, 6/28/25 to Sunday, 7/5/25. Only about a 10-minute walk through the complex to the beach, and a 10-minute walk to the sound! Large fully equipped kitchen (with island and stools), full-sized washer and dryer, and fireplace. Linens and towels provided. One large deck off the living room, and one off the master bedroom. Sleeping arrangement include three bedrooms (master with a king-sized bed, one with a queen bed, one with two twin beds) and a pull-out sofa in the living area. There is a dining table inside, and a table and chairs on the deck off the living area if you prefer to relax outside, with a view of the sound in the distance. Great sunsets! This unit is 101 on the first level of the Olde Station One building 100, with easy access and just a few stairs for entry. Excellent wi-fi available throughout the resort.

BIS-Duck is an older timeshare community. Resort and unit upgrades are in progress, but until complete, the interior is spacious and comfortable, but definitely a bit dated. The unit is offered at a very reasonable price for the size of unit and season.

Barrier Island Station offers a wide, life-guarded beach, tennis, basketball, planned activities, a brand-new indoor pool and indoor recreation center (at the edge of the parking lot for Building 100), and a large outdoor pool. Electric vehicle charging is available at the resort. Duck is an excellent location from which to tour the Outer Banks, from Corolla to Okracoke.

This rental in Barrier Island Station Duck is available ONLY for a 1-week rental, Sunday to Sunday, 28 June - 5 July 2026. Check-in is after 4 PM on 28 June 2026. I will contact the resort with the name of the guest after full payment and will provide a letter to show at check-in in case of any issue.

Up to two parking passes will be issued (not for designated spots, spots are first-come, first-served). Absolutely no pets or smoking are allowed. Housekeeping and maintenance will be provided by BIS directly - no midweek cleaning. The renter will check in at the resort, and is responsible for a deposit at check-in, for following BIS regulations, and for following procedures to clean up at checkout.

Maintenance staff sucked.

I thought it was ok. The unit was scheduled to be remodeled which we knew in advance. If anything the pictures didn’t really do the place justice it looked much nicer. But the management company was not great. They didn’t know who I was or were I was staying. Somehow they didn’t even know my last name. The maintenance people were rude. We were told we could have two available parking places. But one night we came back and there was nothing available. We only had one vehicle. But still nothing. Maintenance person got angry bc we had to park in an area that said golf carts only for the night. When he woke me up early the next morning, I told him I was sorry there was no were to park last night and I would move it. There was no golf cart that needed to park there. But he followed me yelling all the way to my vehicle telling me to move it now or he would have it towed. Just very ugly. You get no extra towels or anything else. The office situation was hard to find. The hot tub heater was down the entire week of our stay. They put giant trash bags of the new linens for when you leave out several days before you actually go, so that’s just sitting by the door. Looks awful and it was in the way.

Hi Jennifer, Thank you for letting me know that you enjoyed your unit at Barrier Island Station and felt that it was better than advertised. BIS is undergoing renovations in phases, with internal upgrades for Olde Station One, Building 100, scheduled in the near term to make a good thing even better! Prior to your arrival, I contacted Barrier Island Station both by phone and in writing to provide your name and contact information for check-in. I even called the week before to ensure that your name was listed for the unit. I am sorry for any confusion. One of the conditions of staying at a managed timeshare resort such as Barrier Island Station is following the house rules, such as parking in designated areas. Parking spots are not assigned or guaranteed, so you may not find one close to your unit later in the evening. Golf carts are used by the maintenance staff to perform their duties, which usually start early in the morning. BIS maintenance staff has been exceptionally busy this year with renovations, as well as completion of the brand-new recreation building and indoor pool across the parking lot from your unit. I can imagine that the staff was quite upset to have their access blocked by an inconsiderate guest. FYI, all guests at BIS go through the same check-in procedure and experience the same management. Lots of positive reviews for the resort on VRBO. Thanks, Carol

Great location, price and amenities!

Our two young families loved this condo, the location and amenities of the resort. You can see the updates going on around the resort and friendly staff working hard to keep the grounds looking nice.

convenient location in Duck, oceanfront with pool. Facility is a bit dated.

Love staying in Duck. Barrier Island Station is oceanfront and has a nice sized pool. It's within walking distance to all the shops which makes it very convenient. The facility does need updating a bit and the carpets could use cleaning.

Hi Diane, I am glad that you enjoyed your stay in Duck. Barrier Island Station has a great location. The interior décor is somewhat dated, as shown in the listing photographs, but the unit is spacious, conveniently located, well-equipped, and rented at an affordable rate. BIS is an older timeshare property, and management has recently charged owners significant special assessments to upgrade the resort. Exteriors are newly refurbished, and it is our understanding that interior upgrades are forthcoming. Thanks! Carol
