Had a wonderful mother/daughter week! The home was absolutely perfect for us - clean, cozy, comfortable beds and fabulous views! We enjoyed sitting out on the patios and even got to experience some great bird watching! Would love to return for another visit! Fabulous hosts!!!
This bottom-floor guest space was perfect for what we needed. Private, clean, and an incredible view of the Santa Paula valley -- and close to everything and any main road. The hosts were friendly, gracious, and communicative. And their dog is adorable. The hot tub and bar space (pictured in photo) were a cherry on top. An excellent booking.
I was on a work trip and this was a great quiet comfortable place to come back to and relax!

This property is amazing, very clean and quite. Location was perfect for us since we were in town for a wedding. I visit Santa Paula quite frequently and I’m surprised I haven’t discovered this gem sooner, we will definitely stay again.

Wonderful Retreat
This was the perfect place to stay if you are looking for a quiet getaway that is a short drive from the busy coastal cities. The accommodations are beautiful and the host is very thoughtful providing makeup remover wipes, snacks, and coffee. We would happily stay here again.
This property was all a couple can wish for, five stars for sure. It is beautiful, very clean, quiet, and peaceful, especially when comparing it to the typical Hotels we have stayed at in the Ventura area for our family visits. Bill, the owner was very friendly and made sure we were very comfortable. We will now make this our place to be when visiting Ventura!
Sooo much better than a hotel! Pretty and roomy, clean, artistically decorated, and private. Nice to watch the humming birds in the surrounding trees. Beautiful view from the outdoor tiki bar. Would definitely stay again.
The hosts were as great as the location . Charming, warm and welcoming.
Perfect for watching our daughter play in the Ojai Tennis Tournaments.
Would highly recommend.

Classy retreat
This VRBO was beautifully decorated and well represented by its description. We enjoyed our stay, but never had the chance to utilize the hot tub or the fire pit, both of which we are sure would have been wonderful.
My family recently enjoyed our visit to Santa Paula and staying here was a highlight! Tucked up on a hill it feels like a private retreat but is only a short distance from the historic downtown. Easy and scenic drive to Ojai or Ventura. The apartment is clean, cozy and is loaded with amenities. Also if you're wondering--the sofa couch is very comfortable!
We spend a nice weekend at this pleasant apartment, located on hill side, nice views, quiet neighborhood, nicely furniture, good linens.
The description of where to find the parking left us confused. The walkway to the apartment was steep and narrow.
We loved the hot tub, we had a good time.

This property was extremely well kept and had a lovely amount of amenities. There was a spa which you had full access too, one queen bedroom with ample space and a full out sofa. Inside there was a mini kitchen with the basic's and was supplied with coffee which is a nice touch.
The only thing I would warn FUTURE RENTERS (or elderly) is the space located on the bottom of a very steep hill to access. Not inaccessible but just a challenge at times when carrying your luggage to and from the room. In addition to the incline/decline the parking was also a bit tricky.
Other than that a great place to stay and would stay again!!

Cozy and Cute
My friend and I really enjoyed our time at this place. It was cozy, cute, and comfortable. Great view. Liked the kitchenette. Wasn't clear to us that there was a pull out couch. Wish that had been more clear in the decription of the property. What was hard was the communication. We registered with VRBO, then got emails from Evolve, then emails from someone else. I sent a message through VRBO to get clarity on the sleeping situation (e.g. how were there two beds when we only saw one in the pics) and never heard back from anyone.
And when we went to check-in late at night, I couldn't remember who sent what, and VRBO was useless. It took us 30 minutes to figure out how to find the passcode to check in at 9:30 at night. Being that I don't check my email all the time, would have preferred if all the info was in the VRBO platform or sent via text.
Perfect little getaway, thoughtfully accessorized.
This is an adorable little cottage-like getaway. It is underneath the home of the hosts but arranged so that there is a lot of privacy, and we never saw or heard them during our stay other than when we attempted to contact them. We were grateful that Bill happened to drive by when we were trying to figure out how to get there. He saw us peering at our phone reading the directions, figured out who we were, and led us there. If you read the directions closely, you will be okay. Bill and Donna are both so sweet, and their daughter who was texting with us is lovely as well. The setting is high up on a hill and feels like being out in nature.
We had free access to the hot tub and to a beautiful patio on the other side of the house. The layout of the little cottage is nice, in that there are doors and soundproofing if someone wants to watch TV while another person is sleeping. The kitchen area is tiny, on a wall of the small living room, with a dorm-size fridge and microwave (no stove), though it was well-stocked with everything you would need including zip-lock baggies. So this is not a place to do major cooking, which was fine with us. The bed is very comfortable. And the hosts have thought of every amenity you would possibly need. It is clear that a lot of love is poured into this place. We are looking forward to returning.
Great location to explore Ventura, Santa Barbara, Ojai, and more. Great food, beaches, and shopping at super cool vintage shops! The hot tub at the end of a day of exploring was a real treat.
The beautifully landscaped yard and multiple spaces to hang out in made this a great location to relax and unwind. With the highway nearby this was a great hub to explore up the coast and inland and then return at the end of the day for a dip in the hot tub and a tranquil moment. The comforts of home, away from home.
This place is so charming and the hosts have thought of everything from beach towels to toiletries to snacks. The kitchen, though tiny, is well equipped for simple meals. The decor is lovely. My cousin and I were going to Channel Islands National Park and it was an easy trip from here. She took the bedroom and I slept on the pull out sofa which was extremely comfortable. It was a gorgeous drive from Santa Paula to Ojai where we had dinner. We enjoyed breakfast the next day on the little patio with the spectacular view. Be aware if you are at all mobility limited this may not be the best place. The parking places behind are convenient, there is still a steep walkway down to the apartment. And the barking dogs next door can prevent late sleeping although that didn't bother us. But I would definitely stay here again!
The location is fantastic; it was a hub for our visits to Santa Barbara, Ojai and Ventura Beaches. We loved the eateries and charm of Main Street, Santa Paula. The unit was clean, quiet, apportioned nicely and offered fantastic views. The hosts were friendly and although present/available in an upstairs unit, were not intrusive in any way and were flexible in terms of the checkout time and similar. I would definitely recommend this listing.
My husband, daughter and I booked this place for my birthday and also a break from our busy summer. It was the best! The charm and views along with comfort were super! We enjoyed the bar overlooking the mountains - had dinner there twice. We enjoyed the hot tub after a day of hiking. And coffee sitting outside. It was one of the most relaxing gateways in awhile. Every little detail was thoughtful.
The beds were very comfortable, the living room had everything we needed. I can’t say enough nice things about this place!
