This property was "cruddy" all around!Had to clean countertops, utensil holder an utensils before use. The 2 small skillets had Teflon coating worn off, so couldnt/wouldn't use. Refrigerator not working properly (had to soak up water on shelves everyday). Plus it took 3 days before refrigerator barely got cold.Cloth couch an throw pillows were very worn an looked unclean so I had to cover it with bed sheet before using.Gas grill was "horrible, horrible" an so unusable. It was filthy on outside an inside was "cruddy". This cabin looked like "NO ONE HAD BEEN THERE IN A VERY LONG TIME" AN NOT KEPT UP WITH!!DRESSER IN THE BEDROOM THAT "ONLY HAD A FULL SIZE BED, NOT A QUEEN SIZE AS ADVERTISED", WAS LOADED DOWN WITH BEDDING AN COULDNT USE FOR OUR CLOTHES!! Shower stall let water flow to outside an on floor so we had to keep towels there to catch the water.Floor from living room to kitchen goes downhill an so we had to hold onto the island! Porches had bird poop on it! Hadn't been washed nor the chairs. The bed was pieces of Foam, NOT a mattress an box springs.Overall "I'd almost CONDEMN" this property!!! Was a VERY UNENJOYABLE CABIN!! Now I understand the policy of "NONREFUNDABLE"!! I SHOULD BE GIVEN MY MONEY BACK!! THIS CABIN RUINED OUR WHOLE TRIP!!!

Never saw a person, only stray dogs, one nice, one growling

May be a retirement community, but they like to Jamand barking dog. Yes music was turned down at 10:00pm from 10 to 9.9. Played till the AM. Very nice cabin though, convenient to lake.

Fit our needs

Traveled back to the area to bury my mom in family cemetery. This gave us a place to get all the family together for the afternoon. Overall it was relaxing and quiet but at times it was really noisy with loud music and barking dogs. Fortunately these didn't last too long. Suggestions for host: need to replace worn out towels and provide more towels.

Really could do something with all three of the grills on the property as none were usable, I had to go and purchase one for use during the trip. Back porch was a disaster .. we spend a majoriy of our time outdoors when we come over that way so.. inside was doable .

Actual Piece of Heaven

Our trip was heavenly! The cabin was beautiful and so was the property. Every person we met or spoke with was very friendly and accommodating. All of our basic needs were met and then some. We cannot wait to come back for another stay! We have been planning it since we left!

Almost Perfect!

The location of this comfortable house and property were lovely, and right near a beautiful state park. Unfortunately when we arrived the beds were un-made and there were crumbs in the refrigerator. Also there were wet towels in the washer, showing that the previous occupants had put the towels in before they left, but nobody had come to finish up. It was difficult to get in contact with the manager of the house, which was frustrating. When contact was made however she immediately apologized for the cleaning issues, saying that the cleaners had failed to show up and offered an immediate refund for one night’s stay. I appreciated the immediate refund and ultimately we had a lovely time.

The house was as advertised. Would have given it all 5 stars, but 2 of the beds were very uncomfortable. Need new mattresses.

The rental was just as advertised. Very clean and organized. Location instructions were right on the money. Easy to find. My guest were unable to join me due to unforeseen circumstances. But we'll return again next year.
