This property is so quiet. My husband and I were especially happy that the towns around the property were not overly-commercialized. A few small gift shops, but nothing crazy. My favorite time of the day was first thing in the morning, enjoying my coffee on the front porch, watching the deer or whatever other animal wanted to cross through the property. The waterfall and creek are just gorgeous.

Thank you for your review. We are happy to read that you enjoyed our little oasis of peace and serenity. Please come again.
Was given the wrong code to check in and had to drive 5 miles to get service to call host to get the correct one, landline phone outside office was disconnected, given wrong info regarding WiFi in info book but figured it out on our own, dirty silverware, broken large dirty knife, couldn’t use grill 1st night as grill was broken (surprisingly found new one delivered next day but we hadn’t yet reached out), absolutely no drinking cups or coffee cups, random saw blade left on front porch could’ve been dangerous if children were with us. If the ground’s weren’t so nice we would’ve probably left after the first night.

We are sorry for the miscommunication of the door code. This cabin was recently reopened after being occupied for the last year. We did many things to make sure that your stay would be all you expected. We had many storms prior to your stay and since. Storms in the mountains repeatedly knock out our telephone lines including wifi. When we spoke I asked you to let us know if you had any requirements and said we are close by. If would have helped if you had reached out to us with the issues you did have. We would have gladly supplied your requests. We never received another call from you during your stay. The grill was to have been delivered on the 2nd and did not arrive until the 4th. We were there to put this grill on your porch. There is no excuse for the saw blade. Maintenance personnel that rebuilt the steps before your check-in accidentally left the blade on the porch and has been addressed.
My wife and I are very busy in the city and needed so much me time. We care for her ninety year-old father and I saw your cabin and I thought it would be the best thing for us to come to relax. All was well, but some things are needed for improvement such as the windows need to be cleaned , front screen door does not close by itself and the Clothes dryer does not work. That was a big inconvenience because it was discovered after clothes had been washed. Finally we did call a couple of times, texted, and
Left messages which none were returned.

We are happy that you had a relaxing stay with us. We appreciate all feedback on our facilities. Your concerns are very important to us. We found the clothes dryer to be operational, however, the knob that turns it On and Off was missing. We have ordered a new knob to remedy this. The screen door is being checked out as well. The outdoor windows are cleaned quarterly in all units, however the summer insect season in the woods is tough on them. Again we appreciate all comments and thank you again for choosing Valley Springs Lodging.
The outside, nature is lovely. The stream and private waterfall was amazing. We enjoyed the fire pit as well. Staff was friendly. A place to go and relax and think. Very peaceful and relaxing.
The negatives, the kitchen utensils and kitchen drawers were not clean. There was a dead fly in the refrigerator. The dryer had wet sheets in it and the dry did not work, we notified the manager. Our electricity went out and no flash lights or candles in the cabin. We could not call anyone when this occurred due to no landline , cell service did not work without Wifi. We called the next morning after the power came back on and they brought flashlights 24hrs later.
The overlook was phenomenal and the views as well. Will definitely be back in the near future. It made my mountain experience a whole new one.

Thank you for your review! We love to hear from our guests. Please do come and stay with us again. Summers and fall are special times to visit our little piece of heaven.
The house was bigger than expected given there were only 2 rooms. The living area was roomy and easily fit all 8 of us. It seems the pull out bed hadnt been used in a while as it was a little dirty and the dryer knob hadn't been fixed from the previous guest. Overall my stay was very good.

We are glad you enjoyed your stay. We've had a call in to the appliance repair guy for a few weeks. It's the price we pay for living in such a beautiful, scenic, area.
