Charentaise stone house 300yrs old in quiet village with bar in adjoining village. Bread/butcher/fish vans visit 4km away, numerous local produce markets. Open air pool in Courcon (10min drive) in July and Aug.La Rochelle and Ile de Re 30 mins drive. Several sandy beaches 30-40min drive. On edge of Venise Vert. Property renovated and is comfortable, tiled floors thick stone walls make it cool inside while hot outside. Electric heaters in all rooms. Many interesting days out for all the family close by or relax in the garden while the children play.
