We all had a great time celebrating my sister’s bachelorette party here! Waking up to the gorgeous views along with the cozy and clean decor was exactly what we were hoping for. Thank you so much!
Our small group of 3 couples enjoyed this beautiful property for a long weekend in late May. The house was clean with plenty of room to spread out. Its proximity to Asheville, the Biltmore, restaurants and shops was very convenient. All questions we had prior to arrival were answered quickly which was much appreciated. We all would definitely recommend this property.
We really enjoyed our stay in this gorgeous house for a family vacation. The kitchen and living areas are lovely and great for hanging out. The primary bedroom and bath on the first floor are luxurious. The second floor has 2 spacious bedrooms and a shared full bathroom which worked really well. The walkout basement suite is fantastic with the two twin beds and its own full bath.

Family vacation
Couldn’t ask for a more convenient location. The house was nice but the basement needed a good cleaning. Not enough towels either. But overall we had a wonderful time

Beautiful home!
Our stay was great! The home was very clean, spacious and well-appointed. It was a short drive to downtown Asheville as well as the Biltmore. There were 3 couples here for a long weekend and we felt right at home. I had contacted our rep prior to arrival with a few questions and she responded immediately. Great customer service. The drive up the mountain to the house is a typical steep drive but worth it!
My family and I had the absolute best time and felt right at home at the Modern Asheville Sanctuary on Elk Mountain! My husband and I (early 30s) met my brother and sister-in-law (mid 30s) their 18month year old son and my mom (mid 60s) and we all stayed at this location and now we want to rebook it for every Asheville reunion! The location is unbeatable. You’re just about ten minutes away from downtown Asheville for all the downtown exploration, but still get a great view of the mountains and have the seclusion of a mountain getaway. The house met all our needs where we felt right at home, had a great deck for relaxing, an open living room and social area, but also had plenty of room to escape for peace and quiet. This was great for a family gathering and I highly recommend this home!
While here, (late March) we saw eight bears around the property! Pretty cool!!

Perfect cozy girl’s weekend!
This house was the perfect fit for our group of girls. It’s beautiful and spacious. The kitchen is fully equipped with plenty of room to cook. The back deck has gorgeous views. My only not so great thing to say is that the fireplace in the living room didn’t work. But other than that, I loved the house! We also had no problems getting Ubers to and from the mountain! We used them to travel downtown, to and from the airport, and to the Biltmore! Just make sure you give yourself some time. I would definitely stay at this home again.

Beautiful home
The home was beautiful, well stocked and had some gorgeous views. It was neat to experience the variety of clouds and weather and the beauty that brought each morning. A bit of nerve wrecking drive up the street but after the first few up and downs you get used to it. Would def recommend a stay at this beautiful home!
We were lucky enough to have a mother bear and 3 cubs visit us on the drive way one morning. We had great views from the windows 😁
The house was everything we expected. Spacious with fun room downstairs for pool. Bring your own shampoo’s and what not as there is very very little in the house for most products that are similar. The wifi from the email was not correct but was able to get the correct info in a very timely manner. Overall, fun stay.

This home was beautiful, comfortable and quiet surrounding with amazing sunrises and sunsets.
We rented the home over The Asheville Marathon weekend and it was perfect. Close to downtown and all the action but secluded enough for quiet and beautiful surroundings. Just be prepared for a hilly approach with a few hairpin turns.
We all enjoyed staying in this lovely home which has a beautiful view that can be enjoyed from the living room, dining, kitchen and master bedroom. The house is tastefully decorated with neutral colors. The beds were all very comfortable. It was a great house for our family reunion. I would highly recommend this home. We look forward to coming back to Asheville again in the future.
We all absolutely loved our stay in this home! Checking in and out was easy, the house was beautiful and well stocked. Views were amazing! Will definitely come back to visit.
The house was beautiful, clean with amazing views. It was the perfect place to unwind after a busy day and fantastic place to have coffee with the views. The master bed was amazing which is always a plus. Thank you
We had an absolutely amazing weekend celebrating birthdays with my friends and I. The home was immaculate and accommodating. The only thing I would note (and perhaps I just missed it) is that the drive up to the house is sprinkled with hairpin turns. If you aren’t from the mountain area, this was an unexpected detail. Fortunately, the Uber drivers in town are very comfortable with those types of roads and did not question anything. They got us to and from my destinations safely. But as far as the house, it was absolutely perfect!
We stayed five nights at this lovely property for spring break with three teenagers. The location was perfect—so close to downtown Asheville and restaurants, the Biltmore, hiking etc yet incredibly private, quiet, and secluded—we felt we had the mountains to ourselves! The views were truly SPECTACULAR from every window and look just like the photos! WOW!! To wake up each morning looking out onto the mountains was such a luxury. The beds were comfortable, linens fresh and new, and the kitchen incredibly well stocked with every appliance in great working order, though we didn’t cook dinners as there were so many great restaurants to choose from. It was great to be able to park the cars inside the garage. The home was spotless and very well cared for. We had plenty of space for the five of us, and didn’t need to use the downstairs bedroom, though that was a great space for kids. The pool table and gym were an added bonus! (There was no way I was going to try to run up and down the steep hill the house is located on!). We have rented VRBOs in the U.S. and all over the world and this would definitely be ranked as one of the best. Thank you so very much!! I just wish we could have stayed longer!
We stayed here for a couple of nights on our way farther south for spring break, and it was the perfect stopover for our family of four! The house is spotless and beautifully decorated. It's secluded and private, but only a few minutes to all the great restaurants downtown. We will definitely stay here again!
