Very comfortable space with lots of character. surprisingly spacious. the hot tub is a lovely luxury and we enjoyed using it. We had access to the back yard and the firepit but due to our busy schedule we did not have time to enjoy it.

Fantastic place. We (4 adults, 2 years old child and 2 large dogs) had a great long weekend there. The cottage well equipped, very clean, spacious and the host responded quickly to any questions we had.We have access the their garden and play area for the child and there is a dog play area very close.This is a superb location for exploring the island.

Walking distance to Maple Bay dog park, Hand of Man museum, the Rampant Lion pub and a short drive from downtown Duncan. Quiet, clean, bright spot with two bathrooms (each with a shower) and a hot tub - perfect for two couples or a family of three - four. The owners were very nice with two cute dogs. We really enjoyed our time on the island and will recommend the Sailor’s Rest to anyone looking for a place to stay.

Great cabin!

We really enjoyed staying the Sailor's Rest. It was comfortable and full of interesting memorabilia. The host was very easy to work with and gave us helpful information about the area.

Exterior of property and the direct fenced area around the cottage was not well kept. The ‘fenced in’ area for the dogs was small. Pictures of the property showed the owners garden which were extensive and well kept, we were invited to use it and they tried to keep their dogs in! They welcomed our dogs and inside the cottage was very pet friendly. Upon arrival the hot tub area was dirty as was the picnic table and chairs, the owner did pressure wash during our stay. Overall the owner was accommodating and as mentioned the inside of the cottage was very pet friendly.

A Month at Sailor's Rest

Our entire stay was excellent. Our hosts couldn't have been nicer and more welcoming. The location was ideal for outdoor activities like hiking, golf and pickleball. There were a couple restaurants in the vicinity as well as a pub overlooking the bay. To top our stay off the weather was ideal. Will have fond memories for years to come!!
