Cozy cabin next to picturesque valley stream
had a wonderful stay in this recently built country log cabin. about 10 minutes from Parsons, WV. The cabin is one of 4 that are spaced perhaps 100 feet from each other in an open field. One one side is a wide stream that provides pleasant background noise. on the other is a country road with only moderate traffic that i seldom noticed. Behind the road is a steep rocky wooded hill with at least one pretty waterfall. Behind the stream are fields, woods, and hills. the cabin was well organized with all key appliances (heat, hot water, stove, and fridge) appearing new and working well. plenty of bedding and towels and the system to check in and out was easy. hoping to visit again.
The check-in was almost a disaster, our code was wrong, and since there is no cell service, I could not call anyone, as the WiFi code was on the table, which would have enabled WiFi calling. Thankfully, the IT man was outside at the Army cabin, He came over to help, but had to immediately escalate to the next higher step, that gentleman arrived, his code for the lock box did not work either, luckily, he had several older codes, and one of those did work, VIOLA, were in. The place is very peaceful, quiet, just what we wanted. However, I would recommend a process for long staying guests, as we had to go to town and wash our linens, bath & kitchen towels. A clock would also be a nice touch. A heads up on the bunk beds would have been nice, as they are not very old folk friendly, and as a Navy Vet, I am very familiar with bunks, these are concussion friendly :)

Very nice
Me and my wife was very happy on how nice the cabin was with beautiful scenery surrounding the cabin. We stayed in December and would definitely like to try again with warmer weather and see the many trails and sites to see.
It was a relaxing and wonderful place to stay. The decorations were beautiful. The place was clean. I loved the hard wood. Not too far from the places we visited. I liked the no service idea but still had a way to connect if we needed to.
The property is situated in a nice location since only 4 rentals are around you with a river stream in the back of the property. The only thing that was a little annoying where cars passing by or speeding from the road across at highway speed. But overall it will grow on you after staying for a while. However I will definitely stay again.
This was such a cute little place, the pictures don’t do it justice. We stayed during the winter and had so much fun. The river is right behind the cabin. My kids (ages 4 & 7) loved trying to fish, throwing rocks, and walking on ice. We drove to Black water falls park 2x. It’s about a 40 minute drive. Not a lot of shops or stores in the area so make sure to pack lots of food. We got wood fire pizza to go after sledding at Blackwater. Looking forward to visiting again sometime in the summer!
Very quiet and nice!! Cabin was well maintained and clean. Beautiful location and close to local attractions. (Seneca Rocks, Blackwater Falls and Dolly Sods) Parsons has a grocery store as does Davis. Completely relaxing.
Everything was super clean, well prepared. Comfortable bed, great water pressure and hot water. Very well thought out to make everything convenient and comfortable !
The cabin was spotless and very inviting, with wood walls, ceilings and floors except for tile flooring in the bathroom. Whoever did the carpentry took pride in his/her work. We seemed secluded, but it was a short drive to state parks, the tiny town of Parsons and more. The bunk bed has double mattresses, which is a bit tight for couples used to a king or queen. There’s also a pullout sofa. We loved our stay.
