Nice
Everything was nice, we enjoy the stay at Cherished Memories, the only thing was that the front porch and the side where the garbage was at there to many spider webs, I think it should’ve been clean before guests come but apart from that It was very nice

Thank you Ruben for staying with us and for taking the time to share. We are glad to hear you enjoyed your stay at Cherished Memories. We appreciate your comments and we will work with housekeeping to make sure the porch is swept of any spider webs. Again, thank you for sharing. We look forward to having you stay with us again on your next trip to the Smokies.
Uncomfortable beds with extremely thin pillows. Uncomfortable couch.
Good location and extremely clean. Beds were uncomfortable with extremely thin pillows. Had to go buy pillows at local DG before the second night. Couch was only living room furniture in the downstairs. So uncomfortable no one wanted to sit on it. Owner needs to update furniture.

Hi, Amy! We always want to offer our guests first-class amenities, so we'll be sure to follow your advice and make these updates. I apologize for any inconvenience and hope you'll give us another chance!
The cabin was quiet! Peaceful!
Close to other cabins, but we were the only people there for the time of year. Rather enjoyed that.
Would rent it again!
Issues:
Cabel or fish not working!
Luckily we had books with us.
No internet, luckily I carry my own hot spot. Would have been inconvenient if we had brought any of the grandkids.
Roof leaking pretty bad in front corner of cabin and at the fireplace, called about, was told they would send someone out, but no one ever came. We moved the furniture out of the way of the leak.
Also a leak in downstairs bath, coming from upstairs bath. Since they didn’t show about the first leak we reported, just left a note about the second.
Owners may want to choose a different property manager. Unless they were notified of leak and felt there was nothing could be done in the immediate. At any rate there are the beginnings of a black color mold on the ceiling where the leak has been going on, and it is spreading.
I sure hope they were either notified or read this before things get really bad with the property.

Unhappy Customer
My family and I was not happy with the overall property of “Cherished Memories ”. The TV in the living room only showed one channel (The Animal Channel) and would not change to different channels. The maintenance man was called out to resolve the issue with the TV and he was not able to help resolve the issue, only stated that this was an issue Infinity (cable provider) would have to resolve, and we never seen or heard from Infinity. With the lack of service in the main area of the cabin, we were not able to watch TV as a family and come together for our favorite family show. The TV in the master bedroom was as big as the palm of my hand, and I had to strain my eyes to see the TV. The faucet handles on the bathtub in the downstairs bathroom was broken and not attached to the tub. The entire cabin was out dated and had all out dated appliances, furniture, and comforters for the beds. The mattress in the downstairs master’s bedroom had stains on the mattress and a dirty, torn, and stained comforter in the closet for extra bedding, that I had to wash and dry on my own. The carpet is out dated and filthy. The overall cabin needs a make over and is not worth the $1200.00 we paid for 6 days. I need a partial refund.

NO SHOWER
One would assume there are showers in a house, but no. There's a shower head, but it's not attached to the wall. If they disclosed this in the description of the property they know full well no one would rent this place.
The cabin itself was very clean, give your cleaners a raise.
In case you don't know, it's halfway up a mountain so be prepared for a twisty crawl with certain death if you miscalculate. At least the road is paved.
If you need to cook, you're out of luck. There's no pot holders, no salt or pepper, no cooking spray, etc. And one lonely dish towel.
The pictures show firewood outside, but there is none. That is actually disclosed in the contract you sign, but the pictures are deceiving. And if you have wood, you better have a way to light it because there are no matches or lighters either.
From the downstairs bedroom you can hear every single movement of people upstairs. We could literally hear when someone rolled over in the bed. It's very loud and creaky. The downstairs toilet clogged, we had to go out and buy a plunger. There is no laundry basket even though the washer and dryer are downstairs in the basement. No detergent provided, bring your own. There was water leaking in the master bathroom from I assume the bathroom above.
Kitchen chairs look cool, but good luck sitting in it for more than two minutes without your back hurting.
Good things: clean, toilet paper wasn't one-ply, heater worked well, didn't run out of hot water, TV was easy to work.

Could have been so much more!
This is a cute cabin with great potential. With a good cleaning and a little improvement on amenities. Linens were the best cleaned item. It had a few broken cups and mugs and I could not read the markings on the measuring cup anymore. Housekeeping came out twice to clean and I still cleaned a few things myself after they were there, when we arrived.

Nice cabin in the mountains
This place was cozy but really dated. Like in the 80’s color Scheme. We couldn’t get the heat to work but didn’t need it until the last day so it wasn’t a huge deal except we were cold the last night and morning. Now the major issue with this place is the property management and the absolute lack of communication from them. We had issues trying to get in the place because the access code they gave me was all letters and the key pad was all numbers and I tried to email and text them with no reply. We couldn’t find a phone number to even try to call them and was stuck outside for over an hour trying codes to get in. We finally got a code to let us in just by dumb luck and they never called or text or email us until checkout day and we received three emails and two text about how to get out and what to do and to let them know we were out of the property. I tried to text that we were out and it would work either so I emailed a response and all I got back was “it was all ok”. This place never called me even after I left multiple messages with my phone number and email and text. It was all about getting out of the property and letting them know we were out so they could clean for the next rental. Very unprofessional and disappointed in the property management company. Still to this day have never been contacted to apologize or anything and our stay was March 5. 2022. I will never use anything this property management company has no matter how awesome the place looks because there is no customer service at all. If we did need something with the heat or anything else at the property during our stay we were never going to get assistance.
Be fully aware of any place with the same property management company!!!! Your on your own after you pay till you are checking out and then they care what time you leave.
The cabin was nice but not enough seating on the bottom floor.
The cabin was nice with a beautiful view. The living room didn’t have enough seating for 4 adults. The bath tubs were hard to get in and out of. Would have loved a shower.
Having the chance to share our home with guests like you is the best part of our day, Binanshika! We hope you'll return to take in the peace and calm.

Definitely enjoyed our stay and experience with the property manager. We all had an awesome stay. Woke up 1 morning to deer in the yard and the last morning there was able to see a black bear in the back yard. Only thing I would suggest is to Definitely upgrade the tvs in the house to 1s that are bigger and more upto date.
Property very clean and tidy. Saw bear cubs and momma bear near Deer Ridge
Booking was a piece of cake. The manager always replied promptly by phone or email love her! I was emailed all the itinerary for visit. Easy check in and check out. Will definitely visit and book Cherish Memories cabin again. Even saw the Budweiser Clydesdale in the Christmas Parade in downtown Gatlinburg, TN during my stay Dec 2-4
Loved the location, enough distance from Gatlinburg noise and traffic. We saw a bear and cub the first day. AC did not work the first night but it was fixed by the next evening.
Beautiful cabin. We loved seeing the bears outside our cabin. Nice location close to lots of activities to do. However, it doesn’t have a hot tub like was advertised. The owners did make up for it though. Would like to have an actual shower as well instead of just jacuzzi tubs in both bathrooms. Overall great experience!
Had a good stay at this cabin. Will probably get a different cabin next time with a little better view of the mountains. And showers vs tubs. We saw 12 black bear in one day which was very cool. All in all we had a great time.

There’s no Mountain View on this location. Be aware there’s no shower, must use a shower head in the jacuzzi tub.
