Stunning Beachfront Villa on the Sea of Cortez

This custom built beachfront villa offers perfect sea views from every room. The oversized bedrooms look directly onto the sea and have their own ensuite large bathrooms. The downstairs bedrooms have French doors leading to the pool terrace while the upstairs bedroom's French doors lead to a balcony. The casita with its own kitchenette and small terrace also has sea views.

The house is one of the most recently built at Punta Pescadero and certainly one of the most beautiful.

A complete kitchen with stainless appliances and all conveniences has sea views and a pass-
through window to the outdoor barbecue.

The large outdoor terrace includes an infinity pool, hot tub, and outdoor kitchen. Stairs lead from the terrace directly to the beach. The beach not only is perfect for swimming with no undertows but also offers snorkeling and fishing. World class snorkeling is only a short walk down the beach to a beautiful protected cove in front of the Hotel Punta Pescadero. The beach is also great for long walks and shell collecting.

The 45 room hotel has a full bar and restaurant plus offers ATV, paddle board, and mountain bike rentals. The hotel also has a tennis court available for all guests and homeowners and their renters.

The house includes a property manager who can arrange private fishing charters, ATV tours, and horse backing riding. Daily cleaning service is provided (except Sundays) by the house keeper. She is also available for additional work at the guest's own expense.

Delivery of delicious Mexican meals can also be arranged by the owner and/or renter.

Jacques Cousteau called the Sea of Cortez the fish bowl of the world and incredible marine life is frequently on show, including whales, dolfins, manta rays, and much more.

Peaceful get away.

Beautiful home and location

This is a wonderful home. Spectacular views from every room. We enjoyed the whale watching and snorkeling right in front of the house. We also made it to town several times for great taco lunches and a bit of shopping. All of Mona’s restaurant suggestions were great. We hope to return!

Beautiful view, remote location

Lovely Christmas getaway with our family of six. Plenty of room, beautiful sunrises. Gorgeous night sky. The manager and housekeeper were available. Opportunities for fishing and razor riding to a waterfall. Los Barilles has some great restaurants but a bit of a drive. Little windy some days while we were there. Overall great stay. Thanks to Mona for her great communication and sharing her place.

Wonderful House

This was our second time staying here but this time we brought more family. There is plenty of space and the quiet location is perfect. We had a great time. We love the house manager and house cleaner. They are both so helpful and helped us with anything we needed. My husband went fishing and it was fantastic. We hope to be back soon!!

Amazing Getaway Home!

This place feels more like staying in a home than in a vacation rental. House and property layout is excellent for privacy and quiet when you want that, and excellent common areas inside and out for spending time as a group. Property Manager is very kind and helpful, he stops in most mornings to check to see if anything is needed on the house, pool, or grounds. Any It is thoroughly stocked with the odds and ends to make an amazing week away with friends. Kayaks, beach and pool toys, cooking tools, DVDs & CDs, books, etc... all the little details many rentals leave out, but are generously provided here.

New Years Vacation

The photos of this property do not convey how beautiful the home and property are! The house is a gorgeous Spanish-style home with plenty of room. The pool and hot tub are gorgeous as well. The property manager was amazing. I would recommend having the cooks do every meal for you, it was very economical and delicious! Four-wheelers are a must, too much fun! We had them all week and used them every day. I will say that we are from the southern US and the water temps in the ocean and pool were too cool for us. If you want to spend all of your time in the water, I would consider going a little later in the year. The beach is pretty rocky as well but that is true for that region. I would definitely stay again and bring more people! We had a family of four and had more than enough room.

Punta Pescadero Christmas

We visit the East Cape a couple times a year, always bringing family. This property is perfect, feels like home. Everything you could possibly need was at an arm's length. The pictures look great, seeing it in person even better. The courtyard and landscaping is beautiful. The local staff, Gildardo(Host), Josephina(Housekeeper) and Ophelia(Cook) were all excellent. Ophelia's flan was out of this world. So many people ask about safety and the people in Mexico, we feel safer here and by far more welcomed than any destination like this in the US. The north winds kept us off the water but surf fishing at the reef/rocks was productive, Blackened Grouper tacos and fresh Ceviche daily. ATV's are a must have to explore the area. The trip to Los Barriles along the water is a spectacular ride on an ATV. Las Tinas and El Cardonal have some great little dives for tacos and ice cold beverages. Can't forget about the whales, watched them every day from the pool deck. The little hotel bar(and restaurant) down the road was a nice bonus to finish off an already awesome day. It's a bumpy road getting to Punta Pescadero. If you're looking for peace, quiet and natural beauty, this is the place. Thank you! We'll be back soon to Casa 88.

Fantastic getaway

This property is wonderful for a group of friends gathering. The pool, the spa and the beach are all great places to hang out and enjoy the day. The brownies were amazing and the staff are super friendly and helpful. We would go back in a heart beat. Loved every minute.

Great house layout and so clean

What an awesome house. It was perfect for two couples but it can hold many more. The outdoor space with all the sitting areas and pool/spa was incredible plus the beach is right down a few stairs. The property manager and caretaker were so helpful and responsive. Also the house cleaner does an amazing job. If you like a remote quiet location this is the place for you. We had a great trip and wish we could have stayed longer. We hope to be back one day.

Million dollar views

My family, myself and a few of our closet friends had the pleasure of staying at this home for 11 days. Everything was wonderful and the description of the home is 100% accurate. The views of the sea of Cortez to the east and the hills behind the house to the west are breath taking. Our full time residence is in a "rural" area so the location was perfect. Very quiet and peaceful, with Los Barriles a short drive to the south and El Cardonal to the north. Between the two you will find everything you need. The staff is always there to help you. Chino is amazing, he will arrange day trips for you, if you wish. Our fishing trip and ATV experience were the best. Best to rent a side by side for your entire stay. It make the trip to town, much more enjoyable than the car or van. Josefina is the house keeper. She keeps the house spotless, and greets you with a smile everyday. We would not hesitate to stay at this property again.

Remote Paradise

This home was perfect for our family consisting of 3 adult daughters and 2 partners. The home is very spacious and well appointed. Honestly, the photos do not do it justice. We have been to Baja many times but this was our first experience staying in the East Cape. It is definitely remote but quiet, peaceful and beautiful. Just what we were looking for, a place to relax and share quality family time. The pool and hot tub facing the Sea of Cortez is gorgeous. The beach is very nice abd we enjoyed both the kayaks and snorkeling all equipment at the house. There is a tennis court at the hotel down the way which we also enjoyed. The staff was friendly and helpful abd we felt safe and well taken care of. We would highly recommend.

Paradise

We loved staying at your beautiful property! A great, remote place to hide from the virus :-) The pool and beach were fantastic. The kitchen had everything we needed. The outdoor porch area was great for grilling and hanging out, playing games, etc. Gildardo and Josefina were fantastic, we loved them and wish them well. Hopefully, we’ll be able to return one day...

Bliss in Baja

This stunning beachfront villa is everything you could ask for. We loved the remote location though you do need to be comfortable driving on a somewhat bumpy dirt road. We saw whales daily from the massive deck. The hot tub and pool were delights too. Plenty of room for multiple people and the kitchen/home was the best stocked home I've ever stayed in. Mona was very, very thoughtful even leaving us a Christmas treat that she had made! She responded quickly and thoughtfully to all our needs. This ranks as one of the best villas available on the Sea of Cortez.

Spring Break Last Week of March 2019

We were lucky enough to stay in this beautiful house for my children's spring break the last week of March. The house is absolutely beautiful, comfortable and relaxing. Gildardo is the perfect person to hook you up with whatever you need to do. We rented an SUV in Cabo at the airport and then Gildardo arranged for us to have ATV's while we were there. The ATV's were easier and more fun for getting into Los Barilles than having to take the truck each time. He also arranged a half day of fishing for us. We did an introductory scuba dive with Simon and Clare at DiveInBaja. They were great and met us close to the house. The food at the hotel is surprisingly good but there were also great restaurants in LB and to the North about 10 minutes. This is definitley the kidn of place you go to when you don't want to be bothered by crowds. The beautiful beach was empty, the water was clean and warm, the pool and jacuzzi were great BUT there are no bars or nightclubs you will be hanging out at. But if you want to kick back, relax, play some backgammon or Uno, you are a luckyt person if you can stay at this house.

Spectacular home In paradise

We had the pleasure of staying in this home for a week over New years 2019. We had never been to the east cape before and were somewhat alarmed by the directions to the house- it appeared more remote than I had planned. IT WAS PERFECT!!! Directions to the house and the owners tips were all accurate. The caretaker was incredibly responsive and helped us arrange fishing and ATV rentals. Catering was availablle those nights I didn’t feel like cooking or walking to the restaurant that was part of the nearby hotel. The local grocery store 20 minutes away had enough staples to enable you to cook any meal. The kitchem was extremely well organized and stocked with every appliance and gadget you would need. The house itself was phenomenal-very comfortably appointed. Plenty of towels and high quality linens. Great lighting; we could read or play games anywhere. An excellent selection of beach toys including kyacks with life jackets. The local beach has great snorkeling and on a calm day, yes you do see whales. My favorite memory, however, will be sitting in the hot tub, staring over the infinity pool to the Sea of Cortez with the Milky way twinkling overhead. This is a magical place. Thank you for sharing it with us.

Amazing home and hosts

This home is wonderful. The architecture and decor are perfect for this area and relaxation is top notch. Everything in this home and on this property is beautiful and comforting. This home features very wide sliding glass doors on both sides of the main living space and in each of the first level bedrooms. These doors can be opened entirely, which unifies the outside and inside spaces so they feel as one. These doors feature sliding screens as well. These doors are one of the best features of this home. The beach next to the home is amazing. We loved using the hot tub after sunset so we could watch the moon rise and see the stars. We loved using the various tables outside around the perimeter of the home for LEGOs and puzzles. The kitchen is a typical high end kitchen you would find in the United States. We used the grill. The outdoor grilling area is well done. Chino (property manager) and Josefina were great. Chino scheduled four wheelers to be dropped off right at the house. He scheduled horseback riding on the beach (you can choose to have the horses brought to the home or to drive into Los Barriles to mount there). We just had to say "let's do it" and it was done. Chino dropped by the home ever day to check on us to see if everything was well and to perform minor maintenance responsibilities, such as topping off the hot tub water. Josefina was consistent and very friendly. When we expressed interest in looking for property in the area, she met us at a tienda in Las Tinas to introduce us to a lady from the United States who had purchased beach front property and who knew where the gems were. This was well beyond Josefina's responsibilities. There are a few things that need to be improved or fixed for this home to be perfect. Before I list these, I will say that this is such a special property; we would buy it. It truly is special and something you will want to experience. I hope our scheduling will allow us to stay here again. 1. The pool is not and cannot be heated. So come when the water is warm if you want to use it (we did not). Although the cost to heat water is high, we would pay it anyway if the owner were to retrofit the system. 2. The shower head in the north first floor bedroom does not provide enough water volume to rinse yourself off. We used a different shower. 3. The owner does not rent her room on the top floor. My company management team and their spouses would fit perfectly in this home if she would. Just a hint.
