About this property

3BR Mountain Views|Hot Tub & Firepit|Gameroom

Summary:
Escape from hectic city life in this spacious, atmospheric, unique Colorado home. Surrounded by Rocky Mountain natural beauty, it’s the perfect mountain getaway experience. Massive pines, immense views, and a pleasing, contemporary design make this a beautiful choice. With exceptional outdoor living spaces, a hot tub, and game shed, this 3 BDRM, 3 BATH home presents travelers with practical luxury and an authentic mountain experience.

The Space:
Nestled against a backdrop of forest and mountains, this home offers the essential Colorado experience. You’re accommodated in practical, modern comfort, while also being uniquely close to the land!
4WD or AWD Required in the winter, recommend in the summer!

Pull up in the large private driveway and you’ll immediately notice the signature windows, deck, and spacious outdoor living space featuring a warm and welcoming hot tub. Entering through the front door with the electronic key-code provided you at check-in, you’ll step into a gorgeous main living area, complete with a TV and sofa. In addition, the living area contains the door to the sheltered back deck—with grill and lounge space and unobstructed views of the foothills across the valley. To the right of the front door, you’ll find another cozy lounge area —complete with quality, welcoming wood & leather furniture and an exceptional view.

The spectacular master bedroom just off the living area boasts a comfortable king bed, two rollaway single beds, a TV and a luxurious master bathroom. The space here is open and airy, and flexible — the French doors leading into the master can be opened to create a single, massive living space connected to the main living room, or closed for privacy. The main level has a pull out couch in the living space to accommodate up to ten guests. A laundry closet with washer and dryer adds to the home’s practical hospitality, located conveniently within the master bath.

Venturing back to the main area, you’ll see the dining room — a beautiful wooden table to seat 6 is the finishing touch for an atmospheric interior. Just adjacent to the living area is a fully-stocked kitchen — perfect for a night “in” spent creating a culinary masterpiece. A polished wood island, along with plentiful cupboards, allow for abundant cooking space. There’s also a comfortable elevated nook just behind the dining table — complete with sofa, two armchairs, and bay windows.

Big rock! Moving downstairs you’ll immediately see why this home feels like an extension of the Rocky Mountain environment around it. When the original builders were designing the home they had a choice — remove the massive granite boulder in the center of the building lot, or build around it. They chose to incorporate it in the design, and thus this UNIQUE feature was born. They quickly discovered that it’s more than a conversation piece, and adds to the home’s obvious charms, and is actually a great place to sit, to lean on, to do some thinking and some re-connecting to deeper places within. The main level has a pull out couch to accommodate up to ten guests.

The home’s two remaining bedrooms are located on this lower level. One room features king comfort, and the other a queen bed. Both bedrooms on the lower level have their own luxury bath ready for business. The bedding in each of these rooms is hotel-quality, cleaned and laundered professionally.

Both of the lower-level bedrooms feature walkouts to the exceptional outdoor living spaces. Out here, you’ll immediately notice the fire pit, hot tub, and comfortable patio furniture — ideal for making s’mores, stargazing, or relaxing after a long day's adventures, having a cocktail, a local Colorado craft brew, a cup of coffee under the clear Colorado sky, or letting go with a loved-one in a special, natural environment. Uniquely, there’s a cozy game shed here too. Play some foosball or watch your favorite film or show in this little gem, separate from the main house.

Practicality, a spacious, luxury interior, and stunning, mountain location makes this a perfect option for travelers or guests to the Pikes Peak region. If you’re looking for an authentic, Colorado experience, a place to stay in comfort and moderate luxury, with exceptional outdoor amenities, this is the place.

Your comfort and satisfaction are our top priorities, and that extends to every facet of your stay, including our hot tub. This maintenance visit, usually lasting about an hour, ensures that the hot tub is kept clean, functional, and ready for your enjoyment throughout your stay.

Rest assured, these visits are designed to be non-intrusive. The technician only needs access to the outdoor area and will not disturb your indoor privacy. We schedule these sessions to ensure minimal disruption to your relaxation and aim to provide you with a seamless, top-notch experience.

The Neighborhood:
Located in the middle of some of the Pike’s Peak region’s most jaw-dropping scenery, and at the northeastern base of Pikes Peak, “America’s Mountain,” this home is perfect for the adventurous group or couple, or for folks seeking a comfortable, natural escape. The privacy allowed by deep forest gives the atmosphere a serene feel; for those looking for easy footpaths, the Mountain Road Corner park is a few minute’s drive away. Traveling a bit further will lead guests to local hiking gems like the Crystal and Thomas trailheads. And, of course, the immediate surrounding area of the home boasts towering trees, rolling hills, and a clear blue sky.

Cascade, Colorado is just 10 minutes west of Manitou Springs, and 15-20 minutes west of Downtown Colorado Springs. It boasts an authentic, mountain feel while still being close to the urban amenities offered by the area. There are cafés here, great restaurants close by like the Mucky Duck and the Winery at Pikes Peak, and just up the road from this home is the quaint little small-town of Green Mountain Falls. The entrance to the Pikes Peak Highway is also just about 2 miles down the road and offers the opportunity to drive to the summit of “America’s Mountain” at over 14,000 feet in elevation. The location here offers abundant natural beauty, with the convenience and entertainment possibilities of Colorado Springs just a few minutes away — a perfect combination for travelers and guests.

Nice and quiet
Wife and I came for a long weekend. Good stuff. Location was great for a secluded feeling. Property was nice. House was clean. Everything for cooking, cleaning and living are in the home. Hot tub was nice and clean. Didnt use the game room, its in a little shed down in the backyard. Meh stuff. Not really a lot of shops around the area. Just a few. No convenience/gas station stores close for some snacks. Walmart up in Woodland though which was fairly close. The spa tub doesnt work, the ice maker was broken, the fireplace says not for guest use and there was no propane for the firepit. Fireplace and spa tub were a big let down. It was in the 20-30s in the evenings so getting out of the hottub wasnt great. Over all we would go again if it was at a good price.

Stunning home in the midst of everything you could want.
My husband, our two German Shepherds and I came to Rock House for a long weekend and it was perfect. This home sits in the middle of wonderful restaurants, beautiful hikes and plenty to do if you just want to chill out. We loved the fire pit and bird watching and made amazing meals in addition to enjoying the local fare. Our dogs enjoyed this stay as well. Thanks Hoste!
