Wonderful Stay

The cottage was exactly as described—clean, spacious, and well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay.Volodymyr was an excellent host—responsive, friendly, and very accommodating. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and he provided clear instructions for everything.I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway, and I’d be happy to stay here again in the future.

Great cottage weekend

Me and my friends had a great weekend at the cottage. The views were amazing and the cottage itself had plenty of things to do. The only complaints I have are that the AC doesn’t circulate to the top floors, and that the water near the dock is very shallow and full of weeds. But there are plenty of beautiful areas to paddle out towards for a good swim.

Everything You Could Ask For

This is a beautiful cottage perched high up with an amazing view down to the lake. The cottage itself is in great condition and has everything you could need for your stay. It is clean and well maintained and comfortable. It is obviously a source of pride for the owner. The lake is large and beautiful and a joy to boat on. This was the first opportunity for members of our family from across the country to get together in quite a while. The weather was perfect and everyone had a great time. Thanks!

Eagles Nest

We were disappointed. Too expensive for what we got! We rent here in Val-des-Monts frequently and some images misleading. The view was stunning but hot tub not nice! Instruction sheet sketchy and we did not get our door code in time, standing around outside at check in time waiting for code! Also he did not get my name correct when he did finally send the code. We had to go on a hunt for towels and ran out of toilet paper! Went to the nearest Marche for toilet paper. We did have some nice campfires but we had to buy wood nearby. We won’t be coming back! Bad experience with owner.

It hurts… We do try our best to accommodate our guests and we get such review. Specifically when we read their review in our book full of nice words (I have photo of that review). The difference between two due to the fact we took the security deposit for repairs. That small deposit will not cover even 1/3 of the cost of repairs. But the mood changed and we get this unfair review. The problem is that they have agreed that they damaged the property but felt that they have to strike back for unknown reason. They punched wall in few places and made a dent on the floor. Now I can’t rent property, it has to get fixed first. What was supposed to be quiet family reunion turned into a disappointment. I have no clue what they did but it was not quiet reunion. Burning our lighter we have left for them and beer cans tells the story. We run the hot tub from November to May and we have just made an exception for them. We put fresh water and changed filter. The water was clean and the hot tub was ready to go. When we came we found our hot tub full of leaves, the cover being old but functional before totally broken. So we had to drain hot tub. What a waste! We put for all guest eleven big towels and eleven small towels, and there are three middle ones in the chest of drawers downstairs. In unlikely event we missed a towel we could guide them to get few from the drawer. We did not get any requests. The same with toilet paper. We have left ten(!) rolls in the bathrooms. We believe it is enough for three days. Again, in unlikely event they used them in the storage there is a new 12 roll pack and two loose ones. No one said a word. And the cherry on the top… firewood. There is a stack of firewood. I have brought full minivan (I have photo, it is still there). Instead they started to burn construction wood. Not that it is very expensive but why? I have no clue. So, the bottom line is the review is not fair at all. All the information is not true or not so right. And the reason is the security deposit for very serious damages.

The property and the location are amazing, however we did have two issues with our stay. First we could not get the internet to connect despite trying for two days. Second, there was no fuel for the bbq. The gas line lead to a tank pad with no tank. While these may not be important issues for some people, there were big issues for us.We understand that issues happen, and we adapted, but it was the way the owner responded to our requests for support that we took issue with. The owner took no responsibility for the issues, claiming that "the wrong thing was delivered" or "well, it works for us". Their tone was both dismissive and condescending. We hoped they would meet us in the middle, and requested a one night refund of our stay. We felt this was a reasonable request, but instead were refunded only 100. Communication with the owner was the real issue with our experience, and is the reason for the lower review.

Super fun family trip spring

We had an amazing time at this property even though it was spring li conditions the house is beautiful the view is beautiful it had everything we needed the kids enjoyed the hot tub the shuffleboard and all the games and movies we took walks and skied at Edelweiss close by it was amazing and I would recommend this for families the hosts are also great and are quick to answer all your questions amazing trip thanks so much oh and the ring game in the dining area was a big hit we had a contest for four days Lots of fun Joannne and friends

Excellent cottage

My friends and I loved our reunion trip at Eagle Nest. It is a gorgeous location. The cottage is perfect and easily accommodated the 9 of us. The kitchen was stocked with what we needed and the BBQ and fire pit outside were added bonus. The lake was warm and calm. The view from the cottage is stunning. As others mentioned, there are 100+ stairs down to the lake, so this isn't an ideal property for people with mobility issues or seniors. It wasn't an issue for us. Volodymyr was easy to communicate with and answered our questions. The only issue we had - and this isn't reflective of the cottage or Volodymyr - was that one of the guests brought their SeaDoo with them. Volodymyr thought it would be possible to get it in the lake and our group did figure this out (you need a key to access the launch and Volodymyr's brother lives nearby and was kind enough to do this for us). However, an extremely rude and condescending neighbour came over and screamed at us for "speeding in the bay" despite there being no speed limit posted or us being able to know this and us seeing other boats going the same speed as us. Again, this is not reflective of the excellent hospitality provided by Volodymyr, but rather a warning to future guests that there is apparently a speed limit in the bay (the neighbour was too busy yelling to tell us what the speed limit actually was). I highly recommend Eagle Nest! Thanks to Volodymyr (and his brother) for a great stay.
