Wonderful location. Tucked away, so comfortable. Just the right space for a few nights of relaxation and luxury. Smallest but workable kitchen, super hot shower, comfortable bed. Thank you Susan!!!Anne & Gareth from the UK

Absolutely loved my stay here. The place was perfect and tidy and had everything I needed. Will definitely be booking again in the future.
We loved the location of this cottage, surrounded by flax & without any near neighbours. The cottage is very comfortable and well appointed, with everything needed for a self catering stay. Highly recommended!
Such a fab place to stay! Everything is super comfortable and cosy and the stocked kitchen surprisingly generous. Loved the outdoor bath - anytime of day as the setting is wonderfully private. Ōkārito is incredibly special. The lagoon and waterways, the ocean, the wildlife and birdsong, the forest, the mountains - there is nowhere else in the world like this! Having a great dwelling really contributed to the entire awesome experience. 100% recommend. And such good comms with the host - so easy!
Lovely comfortable cottage with good space and amenities. We really enjoyed our stay and would be very happy to recommend to friends.

Disliked: Cleanliness, location, listing accuracy
Quiet location, facilities were adequate.Needs a much more thorough clean.Quite a few empty bottles of hand wash etc left in bathroom, not sure if by previous guests or to be refilled for future use.Overall not what we expected for a place that had consistent ratings of 10, whose writing the reviews??
Location was great, facilities all you could wish for. I had to clean the shower trap on the first morning, not a big deal for me, however some may have been inconvenienced. The ranch slider to the living room area is a bit tricky to lock / unlock, perhaps the striker plate could be adjusted.I would definitely stay again.
Our stay at Okarito was amazing. Wonderful property close to some amazing walks. It had everything you needed for a relaxing break. We loved our time there.
Very comfortable stay at this cosy cabin in a fantastic location next door to the local walks, with abundant wildlife around the property and neighbourhood. Would definitely stay again if visiting the coast!
We arrived in a torrential rain storm and had not received our code for the key lockbox. We were able to use our Internet and received the code quickly. We never met the hosts or needed to communicate much with them. Due to the rain the track for the slider door was filled with water and leaking onto the carpet There was a roll of absorbent wash cloth material so we were able to soak the water up when it finally stopped raining! We did have to do a little cleaning in the kitchen and reorganizing the pantry to fit the foodstuffs we brought. Other than that we found the accomodations spacious and comfortable. Good location to reach the beach and relax. A short drive to Franz Josef and lots of tracks!
The bach is nicely decorated very clean and comfortable for two.The good sized fridge, cooker and coffee maker all much appreciated.Okarito is a gem of a place. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to go back some time.
Okarito is very much out of the way, and this cottage is a great place to get away from it all! We used this as a base for the Franz Josef area, but also enjoyed the sights around Okarito, especially the beach. Beautiful sunsets, too! The cottage itself is very comfortable and well equipped. Great place to stay!
