It was a little bumpy at the beginning but everything turned out marvelously. The night sky on the patio after sunset is phenomenal. Thanks for letting us enjoy your house.
Thanks so much for a wonderful stay Aaron. The house is in a very quiet neighbourhood . It’s is charming and clean. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. We would definitely book this place again if we return to Cowichan Bay!

Family of 5. Beautiful location, super comfy beds, cozy home. Loved the fireplace and the view. Basic amenities available!
Amazing dinner at the local ‘the cook and butcher’
Nice walk along the Main Street and cute shops.
We really enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and cosy and the back deck and its views were everything!! It was a nice touch that the owners gave us a gift card for a delicious bakery nearby. Would definitely stay here again!

We had a lovely, relaxing stay at Cowichan Bay Hideaway. It was a rainy weekend but made extra cozy with the fireplace. The space has a lot of charm and character for an older home. The ocean views are stunning. The surrounding trees were full of song birds which we could see up close with the telescope along with the many boats in the harbor. The kitchen is fully stocked and the linen closet too. If you are wanting to walk into Cowichan Bay it is about 10 min downhill into the village along quiet, residential streets. We felt safe and enjoyed the privacy of the neighborhod. We'd love to stay again!
Our family of three had a wonderful experience at this property. Outstanding view and so well equipped with absolutely everything we needed. Thank you so much.
We enjoyed our stay. Spectacular views. Very comfortable with everything you need. Older character home. Not accessible if you have mobility problems. We left a print out of 'recycling' rules to add to the host binder. Recycling is big in BC, and the rules for the Cowichan District have recently changed. We didn't know there was someone living or renting the basement suite below, so that was a surprise but we never saw or heard them. Very quiet neighborhood with great parking. The yard desperately needed pruning and clean up though. Air conditioner in the upstairs loft worked really well. so grateful for that. Would book again.
We loved: the sweet garden beyond the arch and leading up to the entrance, warm and fun colours and decor, comfortable beds, cozy fireplace for rainy weather, well-stocked kitchen, the stunning view. Aaron is great. A lovely, peaceful home away from home. You will want to stay longer!
Our family of 5 loved the layout - it was so fun to hangout in the living room. We loved cooking in the well appointed kitchen and eating inside or out on the patio. Everything was so thoughtfully organized and well stocked with dishes and extra bath towels. It was a top notch experience to be in Cowichan Bay, thank you!
We were a group of four women, getting together for a weekend of relaxation and this was an ideal spot! The house was charming and cozy, was clean and had everything we needed (except coffee filters - just need to restock those). We loved the view from the deck and the proximity to restaurants. We will be back!
We had a relaxing time!
We had the gas fireplace going and watched movies and played games that were supplied.
The kitchen was well- equipped with oil, teas and condiments
We all slept well
Great stay thanks
We stayed with a group of 5 and it was absolutely wonderful! I would suggest if you are looking for things to do drive to shawnigan lake and go for a swim! There is not much to do in the little town where to cottage is located. But lots close by via car!
Beautiful location, lovely house with a great view of the water right on the balcony. 5 stars!
We were a group of 4, and really enjoyed our stay. Beautiful home with a great view by the water and a ton of spots to check out nearby. Good views, good food, and good people. Thank you to the host, Aaron who was very helpful and easy to communicate with. Fishing, golfing, boating, and a ton of exploring and activities nearby. Place was clean, and had everything we needed and more. Thanks again for having us Aaron, much appreciated! 🙏
everything is as shown, very well equipped home. Only negative is that i had no response from the host when i sent a message. the stairs are steep going upstairs but that was clearly explained on the site. would definitely recommend this place.
