We are so pleased to present "This is Us" our brand new 60 sq metre, luxurious Free Standing Guest House located in the peaceful suburb of Salamander Bay.

Welcome to your private escape — a beautifully styled guesthouse where comfort meets coastal charm.

Featuring a super comfy king-sized bed, a light-filled open-plan living space, and an incredible full kitchen, it’s the perfect spot to relax, cook up a feast, or simply unwind with a glass of wine.

Wake up, open the blinds, and gaze out at your very own 10-metre saltwater pool, just steps from your door.

In the cooler winter months (July & August), our pool heating takes a break — but if you're game, it’s the perfect ice bath wake-up call!

Whether you're here for a weekend or a longer stay, this peaceful hideaway is all about slowing down and soaking it all in.

Designed for couples in mind for a peaceful, relaxing staycation. Relax by your private, stunning pool and have the vacation you both deserve :)

The Location - Centrally located along Salamander Way, you can access beaches, shops, cafes and restaurants. A 20 minute walk brings you to Wanda Beach, a picturesque spot with calm waters for swimming (tidal) or a 3 minute drive.

You can walk around the Wanda Headland along a gravel pathway offering seats to stop and soak up the magnificent views . The Wanda Beach Shops offers a selection of restaurants, takeaways, coffee shop, convenience store, butcher, bakery, chemist, post office and bottle shop.

For more of your shopping needs, visit the main Salamander Shopping Centre (2km away) where you will find Woolies, Coles, Aldi and speciality clothing shops.

If you are a keen golfer then the Horizons Golf Course is only 550m down the road.

The Rick Stein Restaurant at the Bannisters Resort is just a quick 6 minute drive with multiple dining options and opposite Bannisters is the Soldiers Point Bowling Club which offers affordable meals. 2317 Restaurant is located at The Soldiers Point Marina upstairs and down the wharf is Sea Salt for a lovely lunch or just a great coffee on the water.

The main township of Nelson Bay is 7.4km away (10 minutes) with loads of activities and restaurants available ie, whale watching, bike hires, Tea Gardens Ferry new Atmos Greek Restaurant and more.

We have a strict non-smoking policy. If you need to smoke, please do so OUTSIDE on the back area of the guesthouse. Dispose of your cigarette butts.
No pets are allowed inside or outside of the property unless at a host's discretion. You must check with the hose prior to your arrival.

Wow! Joyce and Craig and have created delightful tranquil Oasis in Salamander Bay! Highly recommend for couples wanting to get away somewhere coastal and have a peaceful location to retreat to after a day at the beach or exploring nearby Nelson or Anna Bay. The private pool is well maintained and an absolute delight! Would be back tomorrow if we could!

Could not recommend this property more, if you are looking for a break away where everything is at least as good as you have at home (& why bother to go away if it isn’t) this guesthouse will meet expectations. It’s quirky, tasteful & the added goodies supplied by the hosts are much more than anyone would expect from a commercial property.
