The Tree House

We had a great time at the Tree House and enjoying the surrounding area. The host were great, often saying hello if we saw them. The views are excellent from all windows and balconies. I would recommend the tree house to anyone.

Spacious living area and fully equipped kitchen (no oven). The bed was just ok and would have been better if it was a king - there certainly is room for one. We didn’t like the pokey shower which was hard to get into and was a bit claustrophobic. The view from the balcony overlooking the ocean was lovely. Walking distance to the golf club for dinner was good but you had to drive to Merimbula or Pambula for good restaurants.

Everything you need!

It may be a studio but it has all you need. The owners have considered all aspects of being in someone else's home. Picnic set, thermos, beach towels, insect spray, rubber bands and some pantry staples are some of the many items available. Comfortable beds and high views out to sea from two aspects of the room. The sofa and arm chair could do with an upgrade for people impacted by bad weather. The shower is narrow but manageable. But plenty of cushions and throws to assist. Depending on your driving skills, consider reversing up the driveway to avoid 4 point turns. Otherwise street parking is available too. Local shops, including Woolworths and BWS mean you don't need to head back into Merimbula. The Golf Club bistro with lovely food is literally around the corner (with a steep walk back up their carpark). For people less abled, there are 17 internal stairs to get to the accommodation level. We enjoyed our stay, the thoughtfulness of items supplied and would consider it again if in the area. A mini Christmas cake, champagne, crackers and small Christmas tree were all provided, which was lovely, as we arrived before New Year.

Great place and value for money

The photos matched reality and the studio apartment was comfortable and well equipped. Eating meals with an ocean view was also a plus. Communication was easy and replies swift. We were disappointed that the washing machine wasn't working but we were able to use Steve and Helene's washing machine. Lovely and attentive hosts.

Home from Home

We were very pleasantly surprised at how homely this studio was, which made it a pleasure to come back to every evening of our 10-night stay. It is very well equipped, meaning the owners had put a lot of thought and effort into facilitating their guests' comfort. When we booked, we hadn't appreciated that the studio lacks an oven in the kitchen....we arrived armed with pizza tray and cutter so were initially a little disappointed but it really wasn't a big deal in the end. The studio is very private: the apartment has its own entrance and parking area so we felt free to come and go as we wished, without fear of disturbing our hosts. As wonderful as this was, however, we were aware that there didn't seem to be any way of contacting Stephen and Helene other than by knocking at their door: when we did try knocking on our last morning, before checking out, there was no response, so a contact number and/or email address would be a useful communication aid. All in all, we had a very relaxing, enjoyable stay and would definitely choose to stay at The Tree House again.

My mother and I stayed for a couple of nights at the Treehouse and it could not have been more perfect! Impeccably clean and decked out with everything that you could possibly need. Very private, fabulously comfortable bed and lovely small touches everywhere…we could not have asked for a better place to stay. We would recommend the Treehouse to anyone who wanted a holiday in this area!

Home away from home - in a tree house!!

What a beautiful place to stay while we explored the Sapphire Coast. Central to everything - yet it felt like we were away from everything as we listened to the Bella bird singing and smelt the gorgeous aroma of the eucalypts. Amazing studio

This is a really incredible place, Stephen and his wife have really thought of everything. It is comfortable, tidy, well-stocked, and private. It was also a great place to explore Merimbula and some of the beaches north of there, including the National Park and Kianniny Bay. We really had an incredible stay in the area. Stephen & Helene have lived on the Sapphire Coast for over thirty years. Raising the children and running a Solar business in Pambula during those years, they have only recently moved to Tura Beach and set up the Tree House, which is a new adventure.
They love to meet new people, listen to their experiences and give local advice on the best places that only the locals know.

Why they chose this property

The Tree House is central to all the best features Sapphire Coast can offer. From Bermagui to Eden, there is so much to discover. But if you want to stop and relax with a game of golf, tennis or even lawn bowls, the Country Club is just 150 meters away. Wander down to the ocean beach is just 750 meters and discover the fantastic walking tracks of this unique coast forest, lakes and billabongs. Merimbula is just a 5-minute drive while the Tura Village shopping centre is just a kilometre away. Whether it's relaxation or adventure, the Treehouse provides the perfect location to satisfy every emotion.

The Sapphire Coast is the perfect place to re-energise with warm, bright days ideal for active adventures on land & sea. From August until November, we are regarded as one of Australia's premier whale watching locations, with thousands of humpback whales travelling along our ancient coastline on their way to Antarctica.
The Sapphire Coast is home to Australia's wilderness coast, halfway between Melbourne and Sydney, just 3 hours from Canberra.
