While the living quarters were definitely quaint and cozy - this property is definitely misrepresented. The owner also lives on site - which normally would not be a problem at all, except that he views the boathouse rental as a shared space - therefore, working on his own boats, toys, and equipment in the boathouse below while you are there. He also runs a business selling equipment out of his laneway, which makes parking very difficult and awkward. I do not mean to come across as negatively as where you actually stay is very sweet however, there is zero privacy, and after paying a fair amount of money for vacation it definitely felt like we were shoved in a quarter and being watched and unable to enjoy the property..

To be fair there is parking for three vehicles and a parking lot 5 min walk for boat trailers. The owner uses the dock once in a while and happened to fix a boat lift under the boat house for one day while Julie was staying there. Yes there is the owners house in the property. There’s no boat houses directly on Lake Rosseau facing west with sunsets under $1000 a day that are in deep water and not in a busy bay. Neighbour's are rarely around in either side. So the property is excellent value for the top two lakes in Muskoka.
Booking clear and straight forward with accurate description of boathouse including breathtaking scenery and lovely sunsets !
