Most cottages that advertise a waterfront often only have that, which is still great, and maybe a rocky shoreline you can wade into. But what else do you do after you take your pics? The advantage of being in a resort setting while still having some privacy with a fully detached cottage combines the best of both worlds.
Our sandy beach is long and wide, and enters the lake at a shallow angle, which is perfect for small children. Beyond the float barrier, older kids can play water volleyball, use the waterslide, or just hang out on the swim platform.
There's a dock you can use to tie a boat if you've trailered one with you, or you can use a canoe, kayak, or paddleboat that's free to use - and lifejackets are supplied!
If you're a landlubber then choices are plenty still - tennis courts, badminton, a soccer pitch, playground and a large firepit with everything you'll need for a roaring bonfire. In the winter there's a toboggan hill and skating rink you simply walk to.
Speaking of amenities, there's an indoor pool, hot tub, and jacuzzi. A recreation room supplied with 2 pool tables, a ping pong table, foosball game and shuffleboard. Beside it is a fully equipped fitness room for exercise addicts.
The cottage itself is well appointed, and you won't be roughing it here. Every cottage has an in-line gas barbeque, gas fireplace, dishwasher, microwave, cable tv, a 3-season Muskoka Room, iron/board, hairdryer, and my favourite: heated bathroom floors! Cottage 109 also has a washer/dryer while those in Cottages 102 and 103 can utilize the laundry facilities beside the pool building.
