Thank you Ross, for your kind words. It was a pleasure hosting you and Kate, at the Old Howlong Post Office. I appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you back again soon.
Five Star Excellence, the whole package, you want for nothing as Christine our host, had thought of everything! The suite was warm, comfortable and luxurious.
We stayed at this fabulous property overnight on drive back to Melbourne. What sets it apart is the personalised experience and warm welcome the owner provides. We immediately felt at home and enjoyed the banter, and extra treats provided on top. Breakfast was incredible. It's a stunning area and a great base to explore the wine region from. Thanks again Christine.
Stunning and Super Comfortable! Highly Recommended!
This is an immaculate property, stocked with all the essentials and more, and hosted by the wonderful and very friendly Christine. My partner and I had two very comfortable nights here - the suite was very tastefully presented and super spacious with a luxurious king bed, both reverse cycle air conditioning and separate heater, beautiful stained-glass windows and an enormous bathroom with a decadent bath-tub. Christine made the most delicious breakfasts each day which we enjoyed in the sunroom overlooking the garden. Highly recommended for people seeking an escape from the city. We will be back! Thank you again Christine.
The house and gardens of the Howlong Old Post Office are charming and beautiful, and our king sized suite was divine. This went right down to the details of the room which had all we could ask for, eg coffee and a selection of teas, fluffy bathrobes and extra pillows, as well as additional unexpected surprises such as the beautiful flowers, a selection of 3 different home-made biscuits and the wide range of bath salts to choose from for our spa bath. Our stay also came with a cheese board, sparkling wine in abundance, a brilliant breakfast each morning and a warm, inviting, friendly and delightful host in Christine. One cannot go past this exceptional accommodation when staying in this area. Sandor and Claudia
What a wonderful host but most importantly what a beautiful b&b, the room was exceptional.
Christine our host could not be anymore accommodating, beautiful cheese platter and wine was served, great spa bath with an assortment of salts to choose from, homemade biscuits just yum and our breakfast was wonderful. We enjoyed our stay so much we booked in for our anniversary next year. Highly recommended.

About the host
Hosted by Christine
After a busy life in the city, working and raising two beautiful boys, I fell in love with this amazing old building and decided to move back to the country, to be closer to family. I was lucky enough to be able to purchase this charming property, surrounded by magnificent gardens, for my home. However it soon became apparent, that it was much too large for one person and seemed a waste not to share it with others. I set about separating the south suite, from the rest of the original house, to provide a private and secluded space to be enjoyed by others.
Why they chose this property

Linger at cellar door restaurants like “The Pavilion” at Bullers, Jones Winery & Restaurant, “Tuileries” at De Bortoli, and “The Terrace” & "Bonnie" at nearby All Saints Estate in Wahgunyah, "Footsteps" at Cofields Winery, just to mention a few. If you a looking for a more casual dining experience, there are some great cafes and country pubs in the area. Howlong is noted for its excellent golf course and club house.
