We tremendously enjoyed staying at Heron Point House. The location is very peaceful. We enjoyed seeing all of the wildlife, especially the peacocks, harbor seals, and bald eagles. The house itself is beautiful and well appointed. Thank you for a wonderful vacation stay.

A beautiful condo, well maintained and comfortable. Thank you for sharing your home!
Check in was great. Place was clean on top. Dishes had food on them , microwave had food in it. Shower had hair all over. Kids room blankets were had layer of dust on them. We called an told them . We were offered full refund. Problem is its late we had just went food shopping. To load everything up and try to book somewhere else. Cant do . Then hot water heater doesn't work. Was told will get someone out didn't happen. Host called me asking if they can walk me through how to fix water heater. They told me will refund 2.5 days . I fixed waterheater by watching you tube. So my family would have hot water in 15 degree weather . I never received 2.5 day refund. Even after reaching out couple times. Stay clear.

We are glad to hear that check-in was easy and that you found the home clean upon arrival. Our home is professionally cleaned before each guest, but we are sorry if certain areas did not meet our high standards. We wish you had reached out during your stay so we could have sent our cleaning team to address the kitchen and bathroom concerns immediately. Regarding the water heater, we did have a technician inspect the unit and have since confirmed it is fully functional and providing hot water. We apologize for the frustration regarding your refund; we have been working to resolve this and ensure the agreed-upon amount is processed. We take all feedback seriously and are committed to ensuring the property is well-maintained for all future guests.
Pinnacle Inn was a great apartment on Beech Mountain. Very clean property, super quiet! Apartment is well kept, roomy, and inviting! Definitely worth a repeat visit next time we're in town. Just up the road from great eateries. Lots of wildlife in the area!

This was a great place to enjoy. The balcony overlooks some open areas that the deer visit. It also allows some nice natural light into the condo. The place itself is comfortable and nicely furnished. It was a great place to relax.
Could have been cleaner, especially in the master bath. Need to make sure all remotes are present for ceiling fans and that the batteries are not corroded inside the remotes. The guest BR had no remote that we could find, so we had to use another remote and close all door so that it did not affect the other fans.

Thank you for your feedback and for sharing what could have made your stay more comfortable. The homeowner would like to provide a few updates:- We've followed up with our long-standing cleaning crew about the condition of the main bathroom and are hopeful this was an isolated issue.- All ceiling fan remotes and batteries have been checked, and we've confirmed that they are present and in working order. We've also been assured that the remotes are returned to the same location after each cleaning to avoid future confusion. We appreciate your feedback, as it helps us improve the guest experience.
The amenities building has a heated pool, spa, sauna and steamer, pool table, air, hockey, and arcade games. The views from the condo were great. The only negative was loading and unloading from the parking lot up three flights of stairs. We will definitely be back again.

Great location
The condo was small but well-equipped. The pool room was dated but we enjoyed the sauna. I am assuming that this is a new owner which is why the check-in process was problematic (they recently installed new locks which the front desk didn't have access to). I'm sure this issue will be resolved for future visitors, in which case, I would have no complaints about the property.

Perfect location for our trip to Land of Oz! This unit was lovely in decor and the kitchen well appointed. We did find soiled/stained towels in 2nd bath upon arrival. The master bedroom is very crowded with overly large furniture, no place for a suitcase & locked owners closet. There was a cable across the doorway that was a trip hazard and was reported to maintenance. Fantastic views and the quiet of the mountains was so enjoyed.
Pinnacle Inn is a huge, sprawling property with hundreds of condos. We'd been at the property before (different condo) but had no idea exactly where this rental was. It was night, cold, and windy outside, so pretty miserable to park/hunt, park/hunt. We finally found the condo and identified the closest point to park, so that solved that problem. Pinnacle has no elevator so lots of walking and stairs but we knew that going in. Most of the condo was nice, big TVs and everything you need. The master BR's king bed's mattress needs to be fixed; it's got two toppers on it and you will sink way down and never be able to get out of bed. Sounds fun until you try to sleep or have to get out of bed....not ideal. In addition, the king "mattress" so so thick the sheets came off multiple times during the night. There were no instructions on how to heat the condo, but we figured out there is no central thermostat and a few rooms have wall heaters. Bathrooms are ok, the towels were threadbare and the hand towel had a big lipstick mark on it. In the kitchen, the coffee maker/Keurig (dual machine) doesn't work for K-cups. It's a complete failure....we tried multiple times....too bad. So this will work in a pinch, but I would recommend looking around for another suitable location.

Needs some attention!
The on-line photos don’t show the issues.
1. Master bedroom closet locked for owners
2. Master bedroom bed sags in middle
3. Master bedroom has power cable running across door entrance. Safety hazard
4. Only four bath towels
5. No large frying pad
6. No map provided to help locate unit. It was raining when we arrived
7. A long haul from parking to room
8. General condition of Pinnacle Inn run down
9. They encourage recycling but the bids are over flowing
We made it work but won’t recommend or be back.
The unit was in very good condition. The kitchen was dated but had all the amenities you need. Having no air conditioning was a bit of a surprise, I obviously did not read through the listing deep enough to see it had to be listed. The location is a third floor with long walkways and a lot of steps. If you have a lot of things to bring in or are not able to do steps well then you need to find another location.
Overall the stay was worth it for out needs and the home was beautiful with a huge TV and good wifi. Thank you!
We enjoyed our stay here. The view of the mountains off the deck was beautiful! The condo was quiet and cozy. We loved the fireplace and making fires each day. The house was very well stocked too, which was nice! There was soap and shampoo, some spices, plastic wrap and zip baggies. It was nice to not have to bring those items or buy them when we got there.
Our first full day it rained most of the day, and we wanted to hit the pool but it was closed for cleaning. That was a bit of a bummer. But we were able to enjoy the pool another day. It was a quick drive into Banner Elk and downtown Beech Mountain.
We did have an issue where we got locked out of the condo. The deadbolt was controlled by a keypad, but the lock on the doorknob was separate and needed a key, which we didn’t have. It’s one of those locks that can be opened from the inside when it’s locked. So when we went out and shut the door we didn’t know we’d be locked out. The local contact Ricky found someone to come unlock it for us so we could get back inside but it took about 2 hours of our afternoon to get back inside. It might be helpful to put a note on the door about being sure to not lock the doorknob.
The weather was pretty warm the when we went, so we didn’t have any fresh snow but Sugar Mountain still had tubing and ice skating available. Beech Mountain sadly did not. Many restaurants were also closed in the early part of the week. We were there Wednesday-Saturday, and many places were closed that first night and Thursday. That may be something to take into account when traveling mid-week. By Thursday night and Friday, more places were open for dinner.
All in all, we had a great trip! We’d definitely come back, maybe for longer and earlier in the season when the chance to get some real snow is higher!
