Kentucky Group Getaway w/ Dock + Lake Access

What a wonderful first big family vacation to host! We're so glad the cabin's size gave everyone room to spread out without ever feeling crowded, and that the lake access made for great boat days and evening swims. It sounds like the firepit s'mores nights were a highlight too. Thank you for the kind words and for sharing your experience!

We're so glad the spacious main level gave everyone room to spread out while still feeling warm and welcoming, and that you enjoyed the outdoor spaces as much as you did. Thank you for sharing your experience!

What a wonderful note to read - so glad your family had such a great time! It sounds like the early arrival and late check out helped kick things off right, and we're happy the communication made things easy throughout your stay. Having the boat down for skiing, the pontoon rental, bonfires and smores, and morning coffee on the porch all sound like the perfect week for a big family gathering. It's great to hear the kitchen was well stocked and worked for cooking all your meals with a group of that size. Thank you for sharing such a detailed review and for the 10/10 recommendation!

Hi Ben & MelissaThanks so much for coming to stay at Jr's Place, our cabin on Lake Cumberland! We are so glad that you had such an enjoyable trip, this is what we hoped for when we decided to host our cabin as a vacation rental. We hope that you will consider coming back again to stay with us. A little helpful information because the Army Corps of Engineers regulates the Lake water level for damn control, in the earlier months of the summer the water level at summer pool is as much as 20 feet higher. This will make the water access much easier. We look forward to another visit with you next year. Thanks again and God BlessBob and Bonnie

Hi Angie, thanks for sharing your experience! After reviewing your comments, the homeowner wanted to share:- The home's staircase can't be structurally altered or carpeted, but we've added sturdy handrails for safety.- A half-door gate at the bottom of the stairs helps protect children or guests who prefer not to use them.- An alternate exterior staircase is available as an easier option.- Many guests appreciate the home's unique character, but we understand the stairs may be challenging for some.Thank you for your valuable feedback!

Hi Sue So glad you all were able to see the moonbow, I hear it is absolutely magnifcent! Sorry that you all had a little difficulty with the steps, I completely understand how you feel pushing 60 myself! Please keep in mind that the lake water level is much higher during the summer months when you would be able to enjoy some boating and at that water level our dock's gang way is pretty much right at the end of our trail. So you would not have to navigate any difficult steps or rocks. Hope you all will consider coming back to stay with us again in the future? Thanks for you kind words. God Bless Bob

Hi, we’re so glad you enjoyed the cabin and appreciated the space, big table, open floor plan, and games. I’m sorry some parts of the lake experience weren’t what you hoped for—those are out of our control, but we do understand how they can affect a stay. Best of luck with your lake house search, and thank you again for staying with us!
