The house itself was pretty good and had a beautiful view. It was fully stocked, which we really appreciated. However, the thermostat for the main area was set too cold, making the entire house chilly.Several smoke detectors were chirping when we arrived, so we had to purchase and replace the batteries ourselves. We also noticed multiple light bulbs burned out throughout the house.Despite these issues, we did enjoy our stay overall, especially the view and the well-equipped home. With a few maintenance fixes, this place could be excellent.

Thank you for your review! We’re glad you enjoyed the view and found the home well stocked. I’m sorry the thermostat was set too low and that you encountered chirping smoke detectors and burned-out bulbs — that should have been taken care of before arrival. Thank you for letting us know; we’ve arranged for maintenance to address those issues promptly. We appreciated hosting you and hope to welcome you back.
Beautiful view, good size kitchen, beach access plenty of room for everyone except the master bedroom shower was not working but, overall we had a great stay and great time.

Hi Donald! Thank you for your 5-star review. We are so glad you had an enjoyable and comfortable stay. We appreciate your feedback, and have had our maintenance team address the issue with the shower head. We loved hosting you, and hope you will return!
We enjoyed the set up of the house. The large kitchen was great to cook in. We were disappointed that the heat was not working and we were not notified before check in. My infant grandson was with us so it was very disconcerting. Other than no heat- it was a great stay!

Hi Marion! We are so glad you had an enjoyable stay, but we are sorry that you encountered an issue with the heat. Upon review, we did notify you on October 30th about the heat, and space heaters were also provided, as well as a partial refund due to this inconvenience. We value your booking, and hope we have the opportunity to host you again!
This house is beautiful. We had a family gathering of 14. The things we loved: the way the house was set up. Plenty of beds (plus a few extra), main floor had a lovely view and plenty of seating. A dining table large enough for us all to sit at. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots/pans, cups, utensils. The pool table in the basement was a big hit since we have several pool players in our family. There were a couple of small issues that required me to call their customer service. The service was friendly and acted promptly.

Poor communication on a very important matter
This house was beautiful, the view was amazing. This stay was important with lots of meetings involved. We got there (16 of us) and the heat was not working. Communicating with the host, we found out that there won’t be any heat in the house at all, and that they left us 6 space heaters. There was NO communication to me about this. The house is huge. 6 heaters do nothing.. There was a beautiful fireplace that we were NOT allowed to use. A storm was announced and the house temperature was 55 degrees. Let’s just say that it was a distraction the whole weekend, we were cold and the space heaters didn’t do much. We had to spread them around at different outlets so the breakers would not jump anymore. During the meetings, we also had to turn the heaters off as they were too loud and we could not hear ourselves across the living room. The bedrooms were cold and leaving the LOUD heaters on at night was a distraction.
All this to say, if we would have been told even the day before of this, we would have had a choice to choose what to do… get our money back and go somewhere else. We were placed in the situation to just deal with it for a whole weekend. I’ve been organizing trips for years and never had such a bad experience to have no heat for a whole weekend in cold weather and to have noone care to try and fix it or at least to let us use the fireplace.
