This great location basic one bedroom with balcony is a good stay for travellers. Friendly and good communication with property manager

The guest arrived on time, kept premises reasonably clean, communicated well, followed house rules where possible and was happy with the place.

Communications with the 'host' was smooth - an early check in was facilitated. The accommodation was "THIRD WORLD". One small fan heater in the bedroom - in Canberra temperatures you have to be kidding! The place was SHABBY! The appliances were old - some did not work! The carpet was a collection of offcuts and overlays. The front door, which was fitted with two locks, only one of them worked and you had to use the key to close the door, effectively locking us into the apartment! We booked and paid for two nights; we left after one night. It was very expensive for what it was and very disappointing and the last time that I will use Stayz!

As explicitly stated in our listing description—which we ask all guests to read very carefully before booking—this is not hotel-style accommodation; it is a basic, budget, retro-style stay where location is the primary feature. Heating & Amenities: Our listing clearly notes that additional charges apply for heating/cooling to keep baseline nightly rates low, and the property is over 25 years old with vintage fixtures as pictured and described. Appliances listed are in working order if not decommissioned. Locks: The front door operates securely as designed, and we were always available during check-in to walk guests through any property specifics. House Rules & Expectations: We pride ourselves on complete transparency. Because this is a budget, modified apartment, we explicitly advise guests who expect modern luxury or hotel standards not to book. Photos by us show before check in and guest photos show during stay exposing guest towels and bin with rubbish. This guest subsequently admitted their mistake and lack of insight.
