Great place for a group of 10 spacious, pet-friendly, and in a beautiful location with lots of green areas and animals around. The host was super friendly and helpful. We had a really relaxing stay and would definitely come back!
Jerome, the host was very responsive and helpful. Cafe over the road, Erica Cafe great breakfast. General store over the road great supplies and potato cakes.
We loved our stay at Jerome's in Erica. Very cosy home with everything we needed, fire was ready to light and so nice to sit out on the deck and enjoy the view and watch the birdlife. Would have no hesitation in recommending this lovely home for your getaway, and our senior citizen dog also enjoyed her stay!
This quirky property was ideal for our family winter getaway. Each couple had their own private room and there are plenty of bathrooms to cater for large numbers. The fire was going on our arrival and kept us really warm for the whole weekend. We visited historic Walhalla and enjoyed Erica and the surrounding area.
The stay in Erica was wonderful. The house is a home away from home. Everything you could need and super comfortable. Despite the maps indicating a very windy road to Walhalla, the roads were excellent and easy. The Erica Escape House was very easy to find and opposite a lovely cafe. It was also perfectly placed to go and see the Thomson dam
How lucky were we to spend eaater with 3 generations plus the dog in a magical house in a beautiful locationWith stunning views from every window and enough room for everyone to chill or gather together. We enjoyed the proximity to the store, pub, playground, dog park. A short walk away was the rail trail where we enjoyed walks and bike rides in the forest. The sheep greeted us in the morning through the kitchen window or the back deck and the kids had fun feeding them their breakfast Other activities that were a highlighty included the steam train in walhalla and the hike to mushroom rocks at mt erica.Something for every age. Thanks Jerome for hosting us and i truly hope to return to erica.
We spent two nights at this property and enjoyed the location and comfort of this home. The only letdown was bed sheets and bedding which did not smell nice and not felt clean, when i removed blanket from one of single bed, there were hair on bed. Overall host was easy to connect responsive. House had everything.

Thanks for your feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed the house and location. We’re sorry to hear about the bedding—we’ve raised this with our cleaners to make sure it doesn’t happen again.
Next time, please don’t hesitate to call us on day one. We would’ve been happy to come sort it out straight away. We also offered early check-in and late check-out, thinking everything was going well.
Thanks again for staying with us.
Best,
Jerome

The house is old and in need of running repairs. Difficult to contact owner when gas bottle ran out. He needs to get a new cleaner

Thank you, Lynn, for choosing Erica Escape for your six-night stay with your group. It was lovely to host you all, and I genuinely appreciate your feedback. I’d like to offer some context to a few of the points you mentioned.
The ceiling light in the attic room isn’t connected at the moment, but a bedside lamp is provided to ensure the room is well lit. The kitchen corner cupboard was slightly dismantled but is an easy fix that has already been addressed. The shower head had a minor leak, which only required a hand-tightening to stop it.
Regarding laundry access, I always offer the code to guests staying more than three nights if they wish to use it. I sent this offer during your stay but didn’t receive a reply. As for mirrors, this is the first time this has been raised; most guests use the ones in the living room and bathrooms, but I’ll certainly consider adding one upstairs. The phone number on the fridge was outdated — that’s our oversight and has now been corrected.
Concerning the bathroom cleaning, I was in touch daily throughout your stay due to the internet outage, but no mention of cleaning needs was made. I would have arranged an extra visit immediately if I had known.
Erica Escape is a rustic country retreat, and while we continue to make improvements, we also value its authentic charm. I’m sorry for any inconvenience caused, especially by the temporary internet issue, and truly appreciate your understanding and communication.
Warm regards,
Jérôme
Clean rooms, beautiful home. Lots of firewood was available and a kitchen full of pots and pans to use. Jerome has been very helpful and responsive with our questions in the lead up to our stay. Lovely stay
