We had such an amazing stay at this VRBO. The property itself is absolutely beautiful, peaceful, well-maintained, and the views are just incredible. Sitting in the hot tub right by the ocean was hands-down one of the highlights of our trip. The hosts were extremely kind, responsive, and genuinely helpful, which made the whole experience even better. You can really tell they care about their guests and take pride in their space. The complimentary wine was such a thoughtful touch (and delicious!), and just added to the overall welcoming feel of the stay.We would absolutely come back again and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway by the water.
Beautiful views- beautiful beach- hot tub- Absolutely Heaven! Loved the bottle of wine as a little surprise in our unit!

Wonderful get away and a great location with the walk to the beach two minutes away - loved having fires on the beach and going to bed at night and waking up to such a beautiful view. Coffee on the deck and seeing cruise ships pass in the distance at night. Doreen and Doug are wonderful hosts which made our stay even more enjoyable !!!
We enjoyed our stay at Doreen and Doug’s lovely VRBO! A quaint, well equipped space with lots of extras! Great to have the option of a hot tub, and the beach access. The view was amazing and the grounds are well kept and inviting. It’s just a short trip to Sechelt , so very close to amenities. We stayed a couple days and found it a nice retreat!
Wonderful setup. The suite is very well maintained and well furnished. Sleeps 3 comfortably. Beautiful view onto the Ocean. Steps to access it. Wonderful memories!
I needed a little me time and this place ticked ALL of the boxes! Easy to find, stunning views(beautiful sunsets), a nice beach space to hang out and read a book, a complimentary bottle of wine -thank you very much! I look forward to returning with my husband and sharing this wonderful experience! It’s the perfect way to slow down and forget city life!
Lovely little loft over a garage with gorgeous gardens. Hostess provided all the creature comforts. There were robes for our trip to the hot tub and slippers. Beautiful views from the deck and even better ones from the hot tub. Town is close if you need anything and lots of hiking and kayaking spots in the area.
Stayed for a business trip so did not use the amenities, but the location, the view, the ability to walk down to the ocean is great. The bed is super comfortable and you have everything you need. The only thing I would mention is that if you have mobility issues, this may be a tough one, the stairs are steep and the toilet is very low. I had a hip replacement 5 months ago and the stairs up to the suite were tough for me, especially with luggage. Again, not an issue if you are fully mobile. However, as mentioned, the view and the location (and comfortable bed) are amazing!

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, location
Location was fantastic!
The location and the cottage were great. The view was fantastic and the use of the hot tub made the stay that much more enjoyable. The property was clean. From the pictures it was not clear that the cottage was located behind the owners house and that the grounds and the hot tub were to be shared with the owners of the property living in the house next to us. On check out day we were 30 min late checking out since we had 3 young kid with us and it's no easy task to get everyone ready and out the door while still trying to clean up the unit. The owner lady made passive aggressive comments to us as we were trying to leave and did not even acknowledge when I apologized for being late as I was trying to clean the unit for her before we left. That honestly left a bad taste in my mouth. Even thought I enjoyed the property the owner lady was rude and not someone you'd want to deal with. If this was her reaction to someone being 30 min late checking out (on a Monday) I can only imagine how 'pleasant' she would be if anyone God forbid damaged or broke something by accident. That would be scary!

11 am check out. Is lenient Sorry but these guests are not welcome back. The suite was a pigsty. It looked like they let their kids throw popcorn everywhere and sidewalk chalk on the vinyl deck. They and their 3 kids were in. The hot tub until almost check out time.
Warning to all hosts
My nine-year old enjoyed beach combing and finding starfish and lots of crabs at the bay by the property. There is a lower house, closer to the water and the hot tub, where the hosts live, and the second, upper house, where we stayed on the second floor (first floor is a gym). The views are absolutely beautiful from the second floor balcony, but the house itself is not right on the water, but a short walk down. The house was clean, but everything in it is pretty old, and could definitely use some new bedding, as the sheets had holes in them and looked pretty run down. Although it states that the house sleeps 4, I would say it sleeps 2 comfortably but definitely not 4.
Check in was easy breezy, since the hosts live down the driveway. Hosts are very nice, friendly, retired husband and wife couple. A complimentary bottle of wine was a nice touch on our arrival.
There was an interaction, which I would like to mention, and it involved my daughter having used a clear plastic bag that was at the property, to put seashells and rocks in. (The bag was something that a pillow or something similar is shipped in, with a zipper on top.) I hadn't realized that we took it with us, and that it posed something of a value to the host. The host had messaged me about it, so once I located the bag, I asked a friend to mail it to the host, which she received and was grateful for.
Overall, the location was very nice, with beautiful views. We loved our BC vacation!
Doug and Doreen wonderful hosts. Checked in a little early.Doug briefly showed us around. Suggested a couple of hikes in the area both were great. Room clean and comfortable. Well equippedEveryting we needed in kicthen. No oven but an great natural gas BBQ so didn't need the oven. Amazing views. Beautiful spa down by the water. Robes, spa and bathroom towels, wine, snacks and a nicely set table all there when we arrived. public beach to walk and 5 minutes drive to Sechelt. Only minor things were a noisy kitchen fan and electric fireplace. Did not negatively impact our trip. Definitely will book again.
Great view and beachfront access. The road nearby is noisy but somewhat hard to escape on this stretch of the sunshine coast. More reason to spend your time down at the beach. Check-in/out was easy. The unit had everything we needed and even provided a crib and high chair for our 1.5yr old.
This property has the most gorgeous views!! From the deck, from the beach, from the hot tub! Communication with Doreen and Doug was quick and easy, they were available for any questions we had. They provided a helpful info book in the suite as well with ideas for local activities etc.
The suite was well equipped with everything we needed to cook our dinners and even a high chair was provided for our little one.
We will definitely return and recommend to others.
