We stayed at Barbados in the Tropics from 21 to 29 July and would rate our experience four out of five. The house was very clean, beautifully presented and spacious, with large bedrooms and plenty of room for our group. The kitchen was also well stocked with utensils and everything we needed.Communication with the hosts was excellent. They were accessible, responsive and easy to deal with, and all information was accurate and provided in a timely manner. Check-in was easy and straightforward. Our main criticism was the layout of the kitchen, dining and living areas. There was no comfortable space where a large group could sit together and watch television. Even the dedicated TV room had only a small couch, which was inadequate for a house accommodating up to 13 guests.A better selection of pool and beach equipment would also have been appreciated. Apart from two small inflatable fish, there were no useful pool toys, buckets and spades, or a beach umbrella or cabana, which other properties of a similar calibre that we have stayed at have provided.Although most bedrooms had televisions, many were not smart TVs. As the main TV area could not seat everyone comfortably, adding inexpensive streaming devices to the bedroom televisions would be helpful.Overall, we enjoyed our stay. With improved communal seating and a few additional family amenities, the house would be even better suited to large groups.
