Please note that the listing does not include the ice maker as available, but the owner does provide ice trays to ensure guests have the ability to make and use ice as needed. As you mentioned, Fort Myers Beach is still in the recovery process, but we’re hopeful that more retail and restaurant options will continue to reopen in the near future. There are still many restaurants and shops open on the north end of the island which is a quick drive away! We appreciate your understanding as the area continues to rebuild. After you notified us about the carpet, we scheduled professional carpet cleaners as soon as possible, and the appointment you were given was the earliest availability they had. We did offer to cover the cost of lunch while the carpet cleaners were there to minimize the disruption to your stay, but you declined. The carpets have since been professionally cleaned, and the screen to the patio has also been repaired. We appreciate you bringing these items to our attention, as it allowed us to address them promptly and improve the experience for future guests.

We would like to clarify a few points for future guests. There are several restaurants within one to two miles in both directions of the condo, and additional dining options are currently under construction in the plaza directly across the street. While post-hurricane traffic can certainly be heavier at peak times, dining options are available nearby. Regarding the shower, we did not receive any communication during or after your stay about an issue, so we’re not certain what you are referring to. We always encourage guests to reach out during their stay so we can address concerns promptly. We also want to clarify the management structure, as it can sometimes be confusing. Florida Coastal and iTrip are the same company—iTrip is the franchise name, and Florida Coastal is the legal entity doing business as iTrip. When booking through VRBO, communication is always with whoever is managing the property, which may be the owner or a professional management company like ours. This is very common and certainly not a scam. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience related to the door code change on January 1st. We appreciate your understanding and are glad another guest was able to assist you. We have since updated our systems to ensure this does not happen again.
