Beautiful cottage and property

Great for a family. Well stocked kitchen and tons of outdoor toys and games etc. Great deck area to eat outside and chairs and enjoy the view of the water. Great to have use of kayaks and paddle boards and fire pit.

Great spot

Cottage was excellent, anything you need was there. Great not having to make beds when you arrive. Great communication with the owners. Very clean. Lots of room for the kids to play.

Couldn't have found a better place

A lot of time searching for a place that all of us agreed on. Pictures are exactly how it is. Great location fantastic lake and all of the extras made it even better. Very comfortable no need to bring any extra dishes, bedding or utensils. In fact they even had a good size dog crate for or dogs . Pre cut bagged firewood for a small fee was well worth it. Thank you Eric an Joanne for allowing us to rent your beautiful cottage. We plan to be back

Fantastic experience for a group of friends for a get together, very timely and accurate communications from the owner. Very clean, updated and homely property with lots of outdoor space and a great spacious kitchen! Would definitely return!

Great family getaway

It was a very great time. I visited the Drake's landing with my mom and 2 kids. It was a quite and peaceful place. And the place was so beautiful in the morning, afternoon and even at night. We had so much fun there. My little girl cried when we left and we will visit here again near future. :)

Canada Day stay

Cottage very clean, thoughtfully appointed with many activities to entertain any age group. Was great to see teenage kids playing ladder ball. Thanks to the cottage goer who did the Canada Day fireworks. Only thing we missed was bringing a motor for the boat. Fishing on Lake Wasi ended up being a work out :)!

Unforgettable Stay at Drakes Landing

We stayed at Drakes Landing cottage from June 27-30, 2025. Our family had the most amazing time enjoying the dock, fire, games and Netflix movies on the rainy day! Communication with the owners was clear and quick; beds were comfortable and kitchen was fully stocked with everything chef needs. The cottage was clean and well organized to the detail. Loved the lake view from the kitchen and the living area to watch my boys fish from the dock. It didn’t make much difference but I wish there was a ladder attached to the dock, for easier water access but other than that, everything was spectacular! We will be back!

Summer getaway

Drake's Landing was amazing. Very clean and cozy. We especially loved all the water activities that were available. The kayaks and paddleboards were in perfect conditon and available in different sizes. The lake view was simply beautiful. Even on the rainy days we had fun with all the boardgames that were provided. Drake's Landing had everything we needed and more. My family and I had a wonderful time.

Perfect Cottage!

I rarely go out of my way to leave a bad or good review but holy crap, this cottage was just gorgeous. Pictures don't give it justice. Beyond comfy cozy cottage feel with modern amenities. Brought our 2 dogs, very pet friendly!! Joanne, our host, was extremally accommodatable and helpful with any questions I had. Will definitely be inquiring about staying again! - Phil

Perfect Family Getaway

We enjoyed our stay at Drake’s Landing. The property comes with everything you could need and more. Wasi Lake is quiet, with minimal boat traffic. Our small children took advantage of the shallow sandy entry into the lake. As a family we passed the time on the water with the kayaks and SUP. We also enjoyed playing both the outdoor games and board games. The cottage is located in close proximity to North Bay so we were able to take in some of the local attractions. This cottage did not disappoint!

Beautiful Cottage.

My family and I enjoyed our stay at Drake's Landing cottage. The cottage was spacious, clean, modern and well stocked. I loved that it was located on a quiet private road. There are neighboring cottages beside you but both were empty when we stayed so we had lots of privacy. We loved the gazebo which offered shade from the hot sun and shelter from the rain so we could be outdoors as much as we wanted. We enjoyed the kayaks and SUP that were available for use. Wasi Lake is a very shallow, quiet lake with very little boat traffic. Perfect for exploring by kayak! All in all, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend Drake's Landing!

A very well maintained (best we’ve stayed in) and comfortable cottage. Kitchen extremely well stocked. Great views. Pretty much as advertised. Owners obviously have great pride in their property, very responsive and easy to communicate with. The water not as clear as we would have hoped, with sporadic reeds, but bottom shallow entry and would be great for kids. Lots of ducks, and lots of geese. One day we counted 30 geese on the lawn facing the lake, and of course turned it into a minefield LOL. Had some minor but annoying issues with the DVD player – please fellow vacationers, if you experience an issue, please let the owners know. Otherwise, you just pass the problem to those coming in behind you, without giving the owners an opportunity to fix. Overall, had a great time.

Beautiful Property

The property was beautiful and clean. The flat land and shallow shoreline were perfect for our little wiener dog to play and run around. We enjoyed the dock, and some outdoor games that were available, however life jackets were not supplied so we didn't get a chance to enjoy ourselves out on the water. That said, our experience wasn't quite up to the standard we have become used to on VRBO. The 1 roll of toilet paper for 2 people for 4 nights, the absence of lifejackets and being charged for firewood are all things that we have experienced for the first time booking on VRBO. Those things have all been included in past trips. All in all though, we did enjoy ourselves. We just wish we didn't have to put so much thought into packing things like toilet paper and life jackets.

I would like to comment that we did provide information in your check in instructions that life jackets and fire wood are not provided and that we supply a few rolls of toilet paper and paper towels ( 4 extra rolls of toilet paper under the bathroom vanity). Hi, My name is Joanne and I'm a wife and mother of 3 Adult children, I enjoy quiet times at the lake with a good book and boating!

Why they chose this property

Awaiting you and your guests are three cozy bedrooms, all appointed with newer queen sized beds. Ample plush pillows and premium bedding adorn each room. Bed side tables, lamps and luggage racks let you settle in and make yourself at home.

The open concept living room, dining area and kitchen provide you and your guests with plenty of space to gather. The kitchen is well appointed with stainless steel appliances, including large double door fridge with ice maker, convection oven and dishwasher. The kitchen is also well stocked with all of the dishes and cooking utensils you will need to cook up and serve any gourmet meals you can imagine.

The large dining room table has ample seating for eight with 4 chairs and a long solid wood bench with storage.

The living room area is adorned with a large lounger, loveseat and sofa. For entertainment, there are a number of board games, magazines and books to keep you occupied. For some quiet time, you can enjoy the large screen TV, which we have connected to a DVD player and fire stick. The TV's sound bar can also be connected to your Bluetooth devices for listening to your favourite music.
The three piece bathroom is tastefully decorated and gets plenty of natural light from the frosted window. There is plenty of additional space in the bathroom as well for storing some of your extra items during your stay.

Outside, the yard and lake are your playground. The large dock and lakeside beach area are great for swimming and lounging. Enjoy the kayaks, paddle boards, paddle and row boats. In the evening, you can enjoy a meal on the deck. The propane BBQ is great for cooking and there is a large harvest table where you and your guests can enjoy a meal while overlooking the lake. After dinner, spend your evening roasting marshmallows at the fire pit while counting the stars as you lay back in one of the 6 provided Muskoka chairs.
