Big Jim Mountain Lodge - Meredith Lodging

As the name so aptly implies, Big Jim Mountain Lodge features a stunning view of Big Jim Mountain, named after the famed first American to summit Mt. Everest in 1963, Jim Whittaker. Big Jim lies on the southeastern extreme of the Chiwaukum Mountains, a subrange within Washington's Cascade Range. With their often-reddish rock and tundra upper slopes, these mountains resemble Colorado's mountains more than what is typically thought of as the Washington Cascades. Just imagine the backdrop!
It is the ideal place for sports and recreation getaway.

With 3 bedrooms and 2 baths, Big Jim Mountain Lodge sleeps up to 6 comfortably. The main floor has a fully equipped kitchen, a dining area, and a living room, as well as a primary bedroom with a king bed and ensuite master bath. In addition, there is a laundry area and a second bathroom with a tub. There is an American Leather Sleeper Sofa in the living room as well.

The second floor has two bedrooms, one with a queen, and the second with a two-queen bunkbed.

The beautifully designed outdoor yard features a very attractive seating area, along with a newly installed outdoor hot tub with mountain views, and a lush and lovely fresh new lawn. Close to the ski pass and the lake for great summer and winter sports, fishing, and hiking, this is an ideal location for those who like to snowmobile on the trails near Lake Wenatchee State Park.

Nice house

The house was nice. Disappointed that the hot tub was not working. We hiked Lake Colchuck and were looking forward to soaking our soar muscles. We brought expensive steaks to BBQ but sadly the Weber gas grill wasn’t working properly either.

The Sweetest January Getaway

My boyfriend and I wanted to explore Leavenworth and have a lovely, cozy cabin experience and this exceeded our expectations! It was my first time ever in Leavenworth and this stay added so much to our experience. The hot tub was absolutely amazing, the pool table and music system were so fun, and the entire cabin was just so cozy and sweet. We'll definitely be back!

Mountain Getaway

Had a great time riding gravel bikes and hanging out in Leavenworth. It was awesome to get back and visit on the deck, sit in the hot tub and watch wild turkeys. I’ll stay here again.

Loved the stay!

Had a wonderful time at the cabin and enjoyed all the best of Leavenworth! Location is perfect for gatherings, and the cabin's spacious floorplan really gave us options to get comfortable. The hot tub was a great bonus after a long day of adventuring! Would definitely stay again!

Stunning Cabin

It is rare that the property is better than the pictures…in this case it is true. This cabin was absolutely gorgeous, clean, cozy, spacious and stocked with everything we needed and more. Very family friendly with plenty of room and activities for all ages. There are neighbors close by but it is so peaceful you feel like you are all alone in the middle of the woods. This is a hidden gem that made my family and I start looking for cabins to buy!

Thank you for checking on the stay – we walked in and then left within 30 minutes. The home was not what was described in the summary and I feel extremely frustrated by that. This trip was for a friends birthday and this was not the way we had wanted the last night to be. The outdoor condition of the home was not kept up, there was no “lush and lovely yard” and no mountain view. The picture implies a private area, but that was not the case either. I walked into the home and it was pitch black and smelled musty and like something was foul in or around the couch area. We were having issues breathing inside the home and promptly needed to leave. I would like to request a refund due to the condition of the home. Both inside and outside made it, unfortunately, impossible to stay even the one night there.Appreciate your time in seeking feedback and refunding the night stay. -Trayci

Cozy cabin in the woods

Perfect home for a girls trip to Leavenworth. We enjoyed the woodsie feel, hot tub and the overall coziness of the cabin. It's a 30 minute drive from downtown Leavenworth. Beautiful, drive during the day but the dark, windy road can be a bit errie at night, especially with the deer popping out. We lost power (water) our 1st morning. Called management company but they were unaware of any issues. I requested a call back when they received word and never received one. No harm done, everything was restored when we got back to cabin. Overall, we really enjoyed our our stay.

Winter weekend getaway

Leavenworth, truly is a beautiful winter town and the property we stayed in is beautiful cabin nicely decorated and well equipped. The only problem was the BBQ + not enough Gas tank to enjoy the outside!, though already knew there was a problem with the BBQ in one of the reviews and tried to communicate with the owner…. No response was received and obviously no actions had been taken!!!. This was the only turn off!
