Nice house - but booked it because of its lake access and canoes - and lake was so low we couldn't use them. We understand that nature can't be controlled but a heads up would have been helpful.

We loved our stay at Cold Brook Camps North! The property was clean and the views of the lake were amazing. We had a chance to do a walk around the hiking trails close to the house and it felt like we were really in the middle of the woods. Close to Saddleback, Rangeley and the very small town of Oquossoc. We would definitely stay here again!
Excellent getaway. We loved the view and the outdoor fireplace. We really enjoyed the area. Saddleback is a wonderful ski mountain and we also cross country skied, snowshoed, skated and just enjoyed the community of Rangeley!

Perfect wilderness feel
Another great visit to the house. We love hiking around the trails and relaxing. Dont forget your boots as the water was high so the trails were a bit wet……otherwise awesome trip again. Very nice camp/house.

The camp at Cold Brook Camps North was lovely. It was clean and offered all modern conveniences.
The photos of the swimming area and access to the water are a bit deceiving however. You can see the lake from the camp but accessing the water is quite difficult. The paths and boardwalks to the dock need work and are overgrown. If you have children, water access is tough. This would be a great camp for winter activities!

Awesome house, beautiful views, great walking paths
Our family of 5 thoroughly enjoyed our week at Cold Brook Camps North. We explored the hiking paths with our dog and even saw a moose on the property one morning. The house was spacious and very comfortable. We loved playing the ring game on the screened in porch and the kids enjoyed the game room in the basement. Although the water is very shallow, we were able to get picked up by a friend on boat to explore Cupsuptic and Mooselookmeguntic. Don't forget your bug spray!

The home was very clean and comfortable. The layout of the home was perfect for a vacation rental with plenty of room for outdoor sports equipment, shoes, boots, backpacks, etc. The view was amazing and the firepit was perfect! The canoes provided allowed for hours of boating and exploring. We hiked Saddleback Mtn from the skislope, Bald Mountain, the AT to Piazza Rock, explored the many wildlife sanctuaries, enjoyed the views from Quill Hill and enjoyed an outstanding dinner at the Portage Taphouse. Our dog loved exploring the many trails on the property as well as the marsh and swimming.

Late fall reset
Absolutely stunning all around! We pulled in at night in the pitch black, dropped or bags and went out back to star gaze. Spectacular clear sky and no light pollution made for amazing night views. We were so pleased with the decor and cleanliness of the spacious cabin. The cabin was plenty warm and the view across the marsh to the lake and the mountains, from the living/ dining room space was a great surprise in the morning. The kitchen had everything we wanted to cook up what we packed to make pancakes, bacon and coffee. We took a great 3 hour loop hike just 10 minutes from our cabin. We saw bobcat, deer and moose tracks.
We enjoyed staying at Cold Brook Camps North, which was truly exceptional. From the moment we stepped inside, it was clear that cleanliness was a top priority. The entire property smelled fresh and clean, making us feel instantly at ease and welcomed. Every corner of the living space felt meticulously maintained, with spotless surfaces and an inviting, cozy vibe that was perfect for relaxing.
The view from the living area is nothing short of spectacular. Large windows frame a breathtaking panorama of Cupsuptic Lake, and whether we were sipping coffee in the morning or watching the sunset in the evening, the scenery was mesmerizing. It's a nature lover's paradise, with acres of serene, private water frontage, making it feel like a secluded retreat.
One of the true highlights was the network of trails winding through the property, leading down to both the lake and a peaceful creek. These trails offered a perfect way to explore the natural beauty surrounding the camp, with options for leisurely walks to take in the incredible Maine landscape.
