Townhouse is spacious for 6 adults. Views are breathtaking. We used townhouse to sleep pretty much. Beds are comfortable, bathrooms/ showers are clean. Would definitely come back/recommend.

Disliked: Communication, listing accuracy
Guests reasonably expect all amenities in a vacation rental to be in proper working order and consistent with the listing, as these are part of the experience they are paying for. Unfortunately, this property failed to deliver on several of the main amenities it advertises. The hot tub was not working during our stay. This was one of the primary reasons I chose to book this property, and had I known in advance that it would not be operational, I would have selected a different rental. After attempting to reach Jim by phone, text, and email for several hours, I was eventually informed by him it had stopped working just before our arrival. Additionally, while the pool table had several pool cues available, only one was in usable condition, as the others were missing their tips upon our arrival. The top bunks on the bunk beds were very loose and felt unstable, which made them feel unsafe for anyone to sleep on. Throughout the home, the subfloors creak quite loudly, making walking around very annoyingly loud. Items such as a non-functioning hot tub or damaged pool cues seem like issues that could reasonably be identified and addressed before new guests arrive, either by the cleaning staff or property management team, but that does not seem to be the case here. This home has the potential to be a very enjoyable vacation property, especially given its beautiful views. However, several of the advertised amenities fell short of basic expectations during our stay.

Thank you for your feedback—we truly appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. We apologize that you were initially unable to reach our local contact, as cell service on the mountain can be spotty. Regarding the hot tub, it was checked prior to your stay, and a replacement part was ordered immediately once an issue was identified; the repair was completed after your stay. We’ve also asked the cleaning team to ensure the pool cues are fully checked and maintained, and the top bunks have been reinforced and screws tightened for safety. We remain committed to maintaining the property to the highest standards for our guests.

Hi Ellen, we’re sorry to hear you had trouble reaching with communication during your stay. After following up, neither the homeowner nor Evolve could locate any messages from your stay but would have been happy to assist had they been aware.- The ping pong table has been reinforced with a support screw to ensure it’s in good condition for future guests.- We have asked the cleaning team to provide two washcloths per shower moving forward. Thanks for your feedback—it helps us continue to improve!

Nice place
Nice place to stay. Great views. Really nice layout with lots of space. Loved the loft area and kitchen. Lock code didn't work one of our last nights there. Within a couple minutes, we had both Evolve and the local contact on the phone. They resolved things right away. Awesome customer service. 11% grade going up the hill, so definitely make sure your vehicle can handle that kind of climb. The game room was nice and it was cool that they had a handful of board games. If you're wanting to stay in this part of NC, it's a good choice. I would love to see the views in summer or fall. We would stay here again.
It was a really pretty view- just be aware of the obscene cleaning fee- they also expect you to essentially clean the house before you leave.
Only 1 out of 3 propane tanks were full and there was a toilet not working, which management was aware of, just didn’t address. Beds weren’t super comfortable, and internet was out the first two days.
Overall its an average townhouse with a gorgeous view. Not sure the value was worth the total cost.

Comfort is King
I'll lead with the bad first, the place is a bit tricky getting to, I don't know how people are getting up there when it snows, there was a bit of a ladybug infestation but that's mountain homes during this time of the year, lastly the kitchen utensils are scarce, so I'd buy a cheap kitchen knife set if you plan to really cook there. Now for the good stuff, this place was beyond comfortable, quiet, and relaxing, I loved every night in the hottub looking at the stars, the fire place radiates through the whole house, everything was clean, you'll definitely have more room than you'll think you'll need. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay, there's plenty of board games, the wifi was good, and the access to Netflix, Disney plus, and everything else was great as well. 10/10 experience
We had a great fall getaway here with my family, including our 3 year old dog. It’s a great area overall, and the views were magnificent. We hiked and explored all day and came and sat in the hot tub to watch the sunset in the evening. It was wonderful. I do agree that it needs a little TLC, but what lived in, and enjoyed home doesn’t? It wouldn’t stop me from coming back. We had a few minor issues come up that I tried to contact the management company about several times but didn’t hear back. Because they were not imminent that did not affect my rating at all. We truly enjoyed our stay. But if we would have had imminent issues I would have been frustrated at the lack of communication.
