Great location, but condo is showing its age

The property manager was very helpful.
The vacation rental was spotless.
I was very happy with the location.
I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental.

We’ve stayed at this condo for a weekend each summer for the past few summers. The location is fantastic – right next to the creek (you can hear it at night when the windows are open.), a very short walk to be in the middle of Center village, easy parking access. The condo itself is not in the best shape – maintenance issues have come up each of the last two times we’ve stayed there. The management company is quick to respond and does their best, but the general upkeep of this condo is falling behind. The kitchen was well stocked, appliances worked great. The mattresses are pretty old and uneven, some small pieces of furniture are broken (a table with a detached leg, etc.) and one bedroom window had a torn screen and the window wouldn’t close. The bathroom sinks were leaking water into the cabinets underneath on this visit – and was going to require a plumber to fix- and couldn’t be addressed during our stay. Although I love this location, I’m hesitant to recommend it unless repairs are made.
