Cosy beach dwelling with spectacular views

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very unhappy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This property is clean and tidy and very good for a family. The beds are comfortable and it is well set out.But with regards to its location, that is another story.It has a beautiful deck facing out towards the street where you can see the ocean and the whales at play.But unfortunately, across the road is a HUGE construction site where somebody is building some type of ghastly mansion. You are unable to sit on the deck after 6:30 am during the week when the workmen are there. All you hear are power tools, trucks dropping off stuff, workmen yelling over the noise of their own power tools to be heard, and the constant noise of machinery. It is absolutely horrible. So forget about having your morning coffee or breakfast trying to look at the beautiful view. We had to pack the kids up early in the morning pretty much every day just to get away from the noise as it is relentless and did not cease until the workmen finished at the end of the day. The people at Ray White were very understanding and looked for alternative accommodation for us, but there was nothing that was appropriate as we were there at a busy time of year.It is a really nice house and a great location at point Lookout, but for the price that they are asking and the advertised Seaview - You really can’t enjoy it due to this construction which could be going on for quite some time.

The property needed deep cleaning with floors that had not been mopped and it simply smelt. BBQ was filthy. It also needed maintenance with clogged vanity basin and windows that were difficult to open. Overpriced and NOT recommended. AVOID!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Perfect location and very family friendly accommodation. It felt like a home away from home. Beautiful kitchen, balcony and views. We were relaxed the whole time and were very impressed with this property. Beautifully decorated and cared for. Will be back next time we visit the island.

Was not the cleanest, time for a deep clean. BBQ was not cleaned well, only half the burner was igniting and overall not getting to full flame. Oven was not clean, very greasy, Induction cooktop not getting and keeping top temperature, rangehood not vented to exterior. Pillows rancid and need replacing. Needs some type of heating for winter stays. Great location and view overall good stay, would bring own BBQ and gas cooker if staying again.

Short Stay

The view was great. Happy with the location and the upstairs downstairs living layout. There is a few things that need attention: The bathtub was dirty The kitchen cupboard had an ant infestation. All our open food was stored in the fridge The floors were dirty on arrival as if they were not vacuumed and mopped The surveys peg at the front door is a trip hazard. My son stubbed his toe and split it open on arrival. Needs to be removed or smashed into the ground. I can’t recall if there was detail of the house being multi story. This should be detailed incase parents require a baby gate to stop stair falling issues.

The ocean views are stunning and the property itself was lovely, clean and well equipped with everything from a new kitchen to a rice cooker and slow cooker. The house is spacious and you can see the ocean from both the upstairs and downstairs decks. The beach, pub and grocery store were within a short walking distance. I will definitely be returning!
