Gorgeous property & facilities, really unique place to stay in Manitoba for a getaway. Loved the wood fired sauna, we'll need to come back in warmer temps to enjoy the natural pool! Check in/out was a breeze, communication with the host was great. Would definitely recommend!

Nice enough property. Looks like the owners have done a lot of work to make it nice, only thing is that the Tamarack Shack is more exposed to the owner’s yard than you’d expect from the photos on vrbo. Feels like camping in someone’s backyard.

Thanks for being good guests. Tamarack cabin is set on the edge of the field, and with the leaves, falling off the trees at fall. It does seem a bit more exposed than in the middle of summer. Poplar, pine and Birch cabins are all more in the woods. Hope you were able to at least enjoy the trails on the 160 acres even thought it was raining during your stay.
The property and cabin were beautiful and it's obvious that the hosts put a lot of care into detail. The wood stove and mix of propane and solar power could be a bit confusing for folks who've never had experience with those. We really enjoyed the being "off grid" aspect of the cabin.
There was some nice trails and a cool sauna on site and lots of fun trails and wild life areas nearby. Would definitely go back.
Bit of a learning curve for me as I had not experienced the workings of solar-powered and propane-fuelled equipment. But the place was gorgeous, peaceful, stunning and I enjoyed the sauna and pool as well as the brilliant starry skies at night. I only wish I'd stayed longer.

The entire property is completely off grid only run by solar and propane. There definitely is a learning curve, but we do have lots of signs and instructions to help. I’m glad you enjoyed yourself and hope to have you back in the future.
This was a nice and peaceful getaway, and the descriptions provided by the property manager were very accurate, helpful and exactly as it appeared in the sample images of the cabin and surrounding area.
With the amenities provided, it included all items needed to operate/maintain each one and there were no issues at all.
Communication was very prompt, which made the whole process very easy and inviting. Thank you for everything. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this stay for summer or winter.
My husband Dan and I enjoy the outdoors cross-country skiing, fat biking, ATV, hiking, snowshoeing, and bird watching. You may spot us playing with our dogs, Turbo, Ranger, and Diesel. When building our cabins we wanted to be off grid, and environmentally friendly. It is very important to me that my guests feel welcomed and enjoy their holiday time.
