Lock box code didn’t workHouse operation manual non existent No operating info on stove and only 2 burners workedNo teatowel, dead matches left on table, used crockery in cupboard Bed in main bedroom-mattress ensemble with slated bed base in between the base and top inside a larger bedframe making it difficult to exit the bed without getting your foot caught. Bedsheets used.Couldn’t open the front door, curtains rotten.Toilet had been used and left. Tampon wraps left.House in good location but very poor condition. Possums and rats. Booked for two nights. Left at first light next morning. Definitely not renovated in 2023z
The cottage is a little old but other than the quaintness all good. Property manager very friendly and communication is great. Loaf of bread and milk in the fridge on arrival was a bonus especially since I arrived on a public holiday and shops were closed, thank you. Only problem I had was my dog… she jumped the 4 foot fence into the neighbour’s yard on the morning we were checking out.
We had the most perfect stay at Connies Cottage. We have so much gratitude for the host who couldn’t have been more accommodating to my messages and request. Looking forward to booking our next stay. The resident possum was a laugh! As we live in the bush and have our own resident possums, it didn’t bother us.
This cute cottage Had everything we needed. The host also kindly stocked the fridge with milk, bread and a lovely Chocolate Swiss Roll. Not far to the Boyanup Tavern for a great meal.
Well the property has potential but from what we encountered was not what we expected, the house had mice, ants, and some kind of animal living under and between walls, you can not leave any thing out over night unless you want to feed the live stock, also the bedding was very uncomfortable and if you happen to open a window to get some fresh air just beware and hold the window from falling out,now the cupboard doors well same thing applies. Every second door needs to be addressed (re hinged) . I could have fixed them but didn't have my tool kit with me. The owner is wasting water and electricity because there is a constant trickle from the hot water tap in the bathroom. Power supply to PowerPoints was inadequate in the kitchen. Came home to no power to all power points. Had to find powerboard and reset the RCD to get fridge and fans up and running. We could go on, but..... Just don't bother. The yard was good for our dog. And the entertainment at night kept him company "watching the wall" for scratching and mice invasion.
Thanks or the homley invite with bread milke and cake.sorry i couldn't eat it.We loved the background so beautiful and shady so much cooler than the house was.
A nice overnight stay after travelling to Bunbury for family bereavement. Lucky to get such a nice property at short notice. Cottage was well appointed with comfy beds and our little jachshund loved the nice big yard to wander in. Well stocked kitchen with fresh milk and bread supplied. Would like to have stayed longer but had to gey home. Will visit again when we can
Great little place, the host was very good to deal with, and very friendly, even had a nice surprise Xmas present on arrival, the house itself was warm on the hot days we were there and the AC struggled, but it is an old property so this was expected.Great location, lovely local pub, not far from Bunbury Busselton.

Disappointing but host obliging
We arrive mid afternoon on 28 Dec 2024. It was hot and we were looking forward to settling in for a 5 night holiday in an air conditioned cottage as had been advertised. Although it was cute(small) and old, it was clean and had a lovely welcome pack plus milk and bread, it was hot. We found the one small split air conditioning unit in the lounge and put it on full and it struggled to cool the lounge, let alone anywhere else. The cottage is advertised as suitable for 4 people but only had seating for 2 in the lounge. The main bed room had a sleigh queen bed which had a broken side and this would have been a hazard for us. There were pedestal fans in each bedroom. The outdoor seating at the back was two metal chairs beside a small table and an active wasp nest in the roof. The front verandah looked inviting but no seating. We could not see ourselves coping with the hot weather forecast over the next few days and made the decision to leave straight away, leaving everything as we found it.I notified the host immediately in the hope we could get some of our cost returned. The host was able to modify our booking and we were refunded not quite half the original cost. We are grateful for that and that the host was able to rebook quickly.I do hope the extra balance the host received(as we did not stay at all) is used to further upgrade the refurbishments and put another sofa in the lounge plus a/c in each bedroom and maybe more outdoor furniture?

Weekend getaway
Thank you for letting us and our fur babies stay at this historical house built in 1936 ..it was like stepping back in time with the antique furniture
and old charm. We enjoyed the local bakery and
coffee shops and highly recommend the Dardanup Tavern and a visit to Gnomesville and Bunbury was only 25 mins away where we took the dogs to the beach !!
Thank you we will be back

Disappointing
Globe missing in lounge light, no fan in toilet, basic bathroom, no bedside light in one bedroom. Owner brought over globe but a day latetr as she had to go to Busselton.
Lovely 2 bedroom cottage home in a nice quiet area. Great back yard that my little pooch enjoyed. Nice and clean with interesting books and trinkets. We were really pleased. Value for money.
While the property is old, it was clean and tidy. The host made us feel very welcome with bread, milk and cake. The property was in a good location for our day time activities.
