If you want to explore the Collingwood area, then this is the place to be. We are close to everything - Blue Mountain, Wasaga Beach, Nordic Highlands, Playtime Casino, golf courses, rail trail for biking, hiking, snowmobiling and so much more. Spacious hotel style suite, (in our home) the newly rebuilt Batteaux Schoolhouse. You can enjoy your own private entrance and space. Brand new queen bed, large TV, leather love seat that reclines. Mini fridge, toaster and a coffee maker. Maximum of two people as we are on a septic system. Parking on the property and private entrance.

Peaceful & Welcoming Escape

Diane and her husband’s renovated schoolhouse is so beautiful. It was everything advertised and more! I highly recommend staying here. Diane sent us recommendations of activities in the area as well as detailed instructions for check in/out. Highly recommend!

Schoolhouse gem!

The property was absolutely fantastic. So unique, beautifully maintained, and very easy to access! The hosts were lovely and sent us a detailed message ahead of our arrival, as well as including helpful notes on everything we could need in info cards. Would absolutely stay here again.

Golfing Get A Way

Quiet area close to downtown Collingwood and all that the community has to offer. (ie restaurants, hiking/biking trails, golfing). Very clean.

Mini Winter Vaca

Perfect place for our mini vaca - super clean, cozy, and so nicely decorated. It was very well supplied, the host thought of everything and more. Comfortable bed, luxurious bedding, amazing shower, cute coffee bar, very quiet and private. I would definitely recommend it!

Nice getaway

We had a wonderful relaxing and quiet weekend. Diane was very helpful with information on trails and left us a nice treat. It’s a beautiful location and studio apartment! We enjoyed very restful sleeps. It’s clear a lot of care is put into the accommodations.

This property is perfect for anyone wanting a little R&R, but close enough to all the amenities of blue mountain and surrounding area. We loved our short stay at the schoolhouse Keller, and will definitely be returning in the future. The apartment was extremely clean and fully equipped with everything you would need for your stay. The host was very accommodating and welcoming. Can’t wait for our next visit.

So cute and comfortable

Very comfortable studio. It was well appointed with high ceilings for a basement studio. Bright lights, comfortable bed and a small sitting/tv area to relax. Amenities provided were very thoughtful to make the stay comfortable. The host was very helpful with local advice and communication for check-in was great. I would be happy to stay here again when in the area!

Our Experience

Such a neat place with a really great story. As soon as we pulled into the driveway we were grinning from ear to ear. We knew we had made the best decision booking this spot. As we walked in we felt completely at home and enjoyed the new and clean space. It is a short distance from everything from shopping, dinning, and the spa. What a treat!

A quiet night away

This was exactly what we needed. We have a 20 month old, and we haven't had a night to ourselves since he was born. It was so quiet, we slept in until 8am! Diane knew it was my husband's birthday, and left us a little treat. So sweet. We'll definitely be back, and will recommend to the out of towners visiting us!

Beautiful modern home in the country

If you are looking for some peaceful time away, yet close enough to everything, this is the place! Diane is a wonderful host and very accommodating (even offered us a rides for the birthday party we were in town for). The story about their home is very interesting and an obvious labour of love. The place is equipped with anything you should need, it is very clean, modern and charming. We loved sitting out on the deck, we missed the sunsets but read in the guest book that they are beautiful. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this property and host. Thank you Diane.

Cute studio!

We stayed for one night when in Collingwood for a visit to the Scandinave Spa. The studio was immaculately clean and host was very responsive. Convenient to Collingwood downtown. Giving a 4/5 because photos a bit misleading as doesn't show that schoolhouse is actually connected to a house.

My husband and I have rebuilt the old Batteaux Schoolhouse and have made it our home.
We are recently retired math teachers from the local high school and are enjoying retirement and hosting guests in the Schoolhouse Loft and the Schoolhouse Keller.

Why they chose this property

We are located close to Collingwood, Blue Mountain, Wasaga Beach and the new casino.
There are lots of activities near by. The rail trail is right outside our backyard.
