Harry's House....Simple Sleeping

Harry's House is located on 1st and Main in Roy, Montana. It is a 12x24 unit. It is a simple sleeping unit accommodating those that need a nightly or weekly place to stay while visiting the Roy area. Roy is close to the Missouri River and Charles M. Russell Wildlife Refuge. If you should choose to stay at Harry's House you will need to bring your own bedding and towels. Linens are not provided with the stay. Should you forget something Roy Grocery and Hardware is an impressive store with many items you may need. It is located across the street from Harry's House.
You will find a coffee maker, microwave and refrigerator for you use. There is not a cook stove. Roy Grocery and Hardware hosts a small deli (somewhat like a mini Subway.) The Legion Bar provides a limited menu. The Roy Bar has convenience type foods, as does the Bohemian Corner Store.

Met all expectations based on description and was perfect for what I needed. The Legion Bar & Cafe is in easy walking distance for a good burger and cold beverage.

Great as expected! Still need to put microwave on a stand instead of on top of refrigerator, us 5' tall people cant reach it! LOL Enjoyed the visits from the neighbors dogs and kittys. Thanks for a great stay.

State Route 191

Mom and I are on a road trip from south to north State Route 191. Harry House was exactly what we needed after a long drive thru Yellowstone. It was comfortable, clean, and cozy. Thank you so much would highly recommend.

Simple Sleeping Launch Pad

What a great time we had. We love Roy and hope to be back for more predator hunting… Coyotes galore! We mostly used the space for sleeping. So quiet! Hope to be back soon. Thank you, it was what we needed.

small town comfort

This place may be small, but it is in a perfect location in Roy. Felt secure, clean, and the beds were comfortable. If it were mine I think I would install a on-demand hot water heater, and maybe mount a small TV up high in kitchen with a shelf under with a DVD player for those very quiet nights. And a cart in kitchen with the microwave on it, because us 5ft tall folks have a hard time reaching it on top of refrigerator lol. Mind you, this is not a complaint! Just maybe some added comfort suggestions. This place is GREAT and I would recommend it without hesitation. Also owner was amazingly helpful and accommodating!

All that is really needed at a good price

They have all you need for a nice stop as you are traveling through rural Montana. The Roy general store is no longer open, so be prepared to make your own breakfast, or take the drive into Lewistown and have breakfast at Docs.

About the host

Ralph and Shelly Willmore own this property. We had a High School FFA class build the basic unit and had it finished in side.

Why they chose this property

We have created Harry's House so that people that want to visit our town may have a place to rent to sleep. We have many hunter and fishermen that visit as well as family members and friends. Although it is not a house but rather a unit, we call it Harry's House out of respect towards the gas station and home that previously resided on this lot.

What makes this property unique

In hopes of keeping the costs low to our renters, we have decided not to provide bedding. The 2 XL twin beds come with a fitted sheet as well as a pillow. There is a set of 2 towels in the unit.
