Looking for a quiet place to reset?
The Little Barn at Oostema Farmstead is a cozy glamping stay on our working farm, offering the charm of the outdoors with the comfort of solid walls, a real bed, and peaceful surroundings.

Itโ€™s a simple place to slow down, breathe deeper, and enjoy the countryside without the crowds.

The Little Barn at Oostema Farmstead is a simple, cozy glamping stay designed for guests who want a slower pace and a quieter setting. Youโ€™ll have solid walls, a real queen bed, and your own indoor space, while still feeling connected to the outdoors and the farm around you.

This stay is best for guests who enjoy simple comforts, fresh air, and wide-open views rather than hotel-style amenities.

Inside the barn, the space is warm, simple, and thoughtfully set up for rest. Youโ€™ll sleep in a cozy queen bed under soft lighting, with a wall heater to keep things comfortable on cooler nights. Thereโ€™s a small fridge for food and drinks, along with a bar counter and stools for easy meals or morning coffee.
Fresh drinking water and a kettle are provided so you can start your day with something warm.

Guests are welcome to walk or bike around the farm and take in open pasture views and big skies. Itโ€™s quiet, unrushed, and all about enjoying the outdoors at your own pace.

Everything is set up close by and kept tidy, offering a simple, comfortable setup that fits the glamping style of this stay.

Oostema Farmstead is a real, working Wagyu cattle farm. During your stay, you may see farm activity, livestock, and other guests staying in nearby accommodations.
That said, the property is spacious and thoughtfully laid out. Everyone has their own area, and the overall atmosphere stays quiet, respectful, and low-key.

During your stay, youโ€™re welcome to shop our small on-site farm store for Oostema Wagyu. As a guest, you can also request a private shopping time with Lisa. Grab a cut, then cook it just a few steps from where it was raised. Itโ€™s a pretty cool full-circle moment.
Youโ€™ll also find farm-fresh eggs, breakfast sausage, and a few local favorites, all raised or sourced right here.

This is a glamping-style stay, so we recommend bringing simple cooking items like a small pan, camp stove, or cooler if you plan to prepare meals.
We provide fresh drinking water, a kettle, a small fridge, and clean bedding stored in a tote under the bed. Youโ€™re welcome to use ours or bring your own, whatever makes you most comfortable.
For clothing, plan for the outdoors. Comfortable layers, sturdy shoes, and weather-appropriate gear will help you enjoy the farm in every season.

We live on-site and are just a message away if you need anything during your stay. Weโ€™re happy to help, answer questions, or point you toward a great local day trip.
At the same time, we deeply respect your space. Most guests come here for a quiet reset, so we keep things hands-off unless you reach out.

This was such a an enjoyable place to stay. The tiny home itself was modern and comfortable. Very simple yet we felt right at home. The property was very well kept, beautiful gardens and plenty of space to relax or just wander. A short car ride to town. What a Fantastic Camping Cabin!

We thoroughly enjoyed our evening at the Camping Cabin and would highly recommend it for a tranquil and rejuvenating vacation. The experience was exactly as described โ€“ like camping, but with the comfort of a cozy bed. The serene woodland surroundings were delightful, and we relished relaxing in the charming wooden cabin. The Wi-Fi connectivity was outstanding, allowing me to do some work during my trip. Lisa and Glen were exceptional hosts, and we would eagerly return for another visit! We will be back!

Beware the bed didn't come with sheets....

The cabin is simple and clean. The farm is relaxing, however I was really disappointed that the Queen bed didn't come with bedding. For the price you pay, this should not be acceptable. We travelled from Canada, and didn't realize when booking that in the smaller print it says *bring your sleeping bags. We also didn't recieve the welcome email with all this information until the day of. We asked the property managers if they had any bedding on hand as we travelled form far and they said it was an additional $35USD. If we wanted to sleep in sleeping bags we would have camped. The reason we booked the room was for a proper bed. We ended up having to go to Target last minute and purchase sheets as it seemed ridiculous to pay $35 for sheets for one night. Ask most people if they've ever booked a room that didn't come with sheets and they'd likely agree that it's very odd.
