Local family needed a place to stay while work was being done on their house. The Swiss Inn had a enough bedrooms for separate sleeping spaces at a tolerable price point so we tried it for a week. We were going about our daily lives, not in vacation mode. The bedrooms were generous and there was enough space for my large family to spread out. The kids enjoyed the pool table despite it's condition. The old photographs of the house are neat. Some cons - doing laundry was a challenge due to the configuration of the washer and dryer. There also seems to be a back up in the laundry room sink - I had to bail it out a few times over the week as it filled up when the washer was in use and then wouldn't drain. The water softener didn't recycle until midway through our stay, so the water was very hard (undrinkable) and made dishwashing difficult. There were mouse droppings on the downstairs bed upon our arrival and we saw a mouse scurry back and forth under the sitting furniture near the stairs several times on our final night. The screen on the sliding door fell off - that and several of the interior doors were barely functional. On our departure date the cleaning woman arrived prior to check out time and sat in her vehicle while we loaded up. Overall, while the house is unique and old, it is in need of some maintenance. I realize this is tricky when trying to maintain the character. If you're looking for lots of space at a reasonable price point it fits the bill.
