We had a great stay! Cabin is cozy and met all of our needs for the weekend. We loved exploring the nearby trails and shops. Our dogs loved it as well :)
We loved our stay! The little cabin was cozy and well appointed. We slept well in the comfy beds and enjoyed a fun breakfast at the kitchen island. The forest surrounding the cabin is quiet and serene. We took nice walks and hardly saw another soul. It was the perfect Thanksgiving retreat. Thank you!

Great little cottage!
We stayed for a weekend to pick up our kids from summer camp. It was perfect spot, we loved the location and the cottage. It was super clean and confortable.
The cabin is immaculate and very cute and cozy. It's lovely to be right by the brook in a quiet neighborhood set in a woodsy area. Lots of great places a short right away too. Brattleboro is lots of fun, and we loved hiking in the Manitou Project.

Great Place!
Matt's place was a wonderful, peaceful place in the hills of Vermont. Well stocked kitchen, clean/cozy space, comfortable beds, spacious and clean bathroom, with everything we needed. Lots of outdoor spaces to enjoy. We would definitely go again.
What a beautiful clean cabin nestled next to a brook with lots of hiking paths to explore. Centrally located to several ski resorts. Matt was the most excellent host! I look forward to returning during other seasons!

Beautiful, Private Getaway Close to Ski Towns
Cozy cabin, photos don’t do it justice. Private area, with many beautiful hiking trails on and nearby the property. We came on the coldest weekend in 50 years and the owners ensured it’d be warm for check in! Close to Mt Snow, so was great for day trips to the mountain. Coming back it was great to sit down, relax and enjoy the views. Would stay again.
Property was absolutely immaculate and well-thought-out (i.e., lighting was convenient and well-planned). Very comfortable overall, although the couch was a little deep for older folks with bad knees. A larger stock of washcloths and toilet paper would be good, too. But overall it was excellent, and we would stay there again. The brook is a delight -- we even saw a mink!
First time Vermonters! We had a great time. House is a quintessential New England cabin. Very clean & orderly. Comfy beds & couch. We spent our days hiking nearby & cuddled up watching movies at night. Breakfast & dinner offerings in nearby Putney and Brattleboro never more than 20 minute drive. Great communication from our host, Matt. Timely & courteous responses. We will definitely be going back!
Cabin was perfect for a weekend getaway. Check in was a breeze and they had a very generous check in check out time which I appreciated. It was on a quiet dead-end street so no through traffic and the sound of the brook was calming. The beds were comfortable. It's not that far of a walk from the parking to the house. Happy we could bring our dogs as well. Short drive to town. Love the Vegan Restaurant in Brattleboro the food was delicious. We hiked a few trails that were nearby. Wish we had a little more time to explore. Definitely would stay again!
The house has everything you need. The host was available and responsive throughout. You fall asleep to the sound of the babbling creek outside your windows. Lots to do in the area - we wanted to be near a town (Brattleboro) but feel like we were in the woods. This house met our expectations. We were there during a heatwave and we ended up cooling off in the swimming hole under the covered bridge (5 minute drive) and kayaking on the Connecticut river - there was an outfitter 20 minutes drive away. All in all a very relaxing and restorative few days.

Such a lovely stay
We had such a lovely stay here! Matthew was extremely responsive and helpful throughout both the stay and booking process. We decided last minute to head to Stratton for a ski weekend and we were so happy when we came across Matthew’s place. It was absolutely perfect. We got extremely lucky with some fresh snow and enjoying our coffee looking out the window at the absolutely gorgeous surroundings was perfect. The location is private and peaceful and close distance to many bars and restaurants. Kitchen is also fully equipped and we enjoyed making some meals without needing to leave. Although we went for a ski weekend, I can easily see ourselves enjoying this spot year round as there’s a beautiful running stream, hammock and Adirondack chairs to hang out outside. The house itself was in pristine condition, updated but still very cozy. Honestly, just a great time and look forward to visiting again soon!
