We were extremely pleased with everything about the property. A peaceful getaway. Despite being an older cottage everything was up to date and very clean. Lots of room to hangout and relax both inside and outside the cottage. The large screened porch was a favourite place to relax when we weren’t outside enjoying the lake. Bedrooms were spacious. Beds comfortable. An abundance of pillows, towels and extra bedding. Kitchen clean and functional. Hosts were welcoming and ensured we had everything we needed. Fish were biting right from the dock. Water warm and quiet. Make sure to make the 30 minute drive to explore Bobcaygeon.

Amazing location. Everything was accurately advertised. The owners are very communicative. I look forward to booking with them again. Overall, we had a fantastic time :)

Perfect Get Away

We really enjoyed our holiday at Avalon! The host met us to explain the property, and a little "Father's Day" cup with chocolates was waiting for my husband. Family visited us one day for a celebration and everyone loved the cottage. My son was all for booking it next year again. A few people have shown interest when we talked about our experience. Beautiful cottage, small but just perfect for a lake holiday. All the ammenities etc. were outstanding & beds super comfy. Would definitely rent there again.

Pleasant Week

The cottage is the perfect size for four although can comfortably accommodate six. It was very clean and has all the amenities and more; i.e. washer/dryer, dishwasher. It is perfect for rest and relaxation and you can swim right off the dock. It is on the Trent waterway so there is some boat traffic but nothing too hectic. You can enjoy watching them go by in the screened in porch or on the lower deck by the water. Perfect for someone who enjoys water activities, like kayaking or jet skiing. The fishing isn't too bad either. The hosts, Carolyn and Murray (Leo too) were very accommodating. Thank you for the snacks and bottle of wine. We thoroughly enjoyed them.
