A majestic thatchedroof house nestled at the foot of Mount Koya
In the spacious earthenfloored entrance hall youll find an oldfashioned rice huller preserved in its original state Just beyond it the irori sunken hearth room invites you ina true delight for lovers of traditional Japanese homes

Surrounding the house are cherry blossoms in spring hydrangeas in summer vibrant autumn leaves and peaceful snow in winteroffering a soothing view in every season / There is an old ricemaking machine on the earthen floor and the thatched roof is overwhelming when you look up In addition there is a large hollow brazier and a hearth room and it will be an irresistible space for those who like old folk houses It is a hideaway in a mountain village where you can reach the World Heritage Niutsuhime Shrine in just 10 minutes by car

Except for the storage space in the loft you can use all areas of the premises
